Hello, dear forum members! First of all, let me introduce myself. I am a young man between 20-30 years old, I live in a big regional city and I work in the specialty I graduated from. I live alone and have a decent income that allows me to live independently. Where is the dilemma? The dilemma is that I am far from my roots. I grew up in a small country town, where I am so used to nature that the big city is already suffocating me. I have an offer to work in a small company located near my hometown. The salary is also decent and I will be able to handle my expenses without any problems (credit, car, life, hobbies, etc.). The truth is that since I moved, I became easily irritable, constantly stressed, and stopped enjoying life. I immersed myself in the work, which I hoped to replace something else in my life, but alas, it did not work! I'm thinking, that maybe I need a radical change in my life.
The peace I will receive in such an environment in which I am invited will reflect well on me. I will have myself, I will be calmer and freer. But the work will be monotonous, without dynamics. I'm afraid I won't regret my choice in time? I don't know what to do .... there are pros and cons in both places. A quiet and peaceful life without stress and tension and a lot of free time or a dynamic life filled mainly with work, which takes as much as it gives. How would you act in my place? Thanks for your time! Nice day! I'm afraid I won't regret my choice in time? I don't know what to do .... there are pros and cons in both places. Depends on the job. If she is really calm, you can combine it with something interesting - whether after work or even during work. My work is creative and sometimes quite stressful (mentally). At home I don't think about anything but how to empty my head - I watch videos on YouTube or a movie, read here, etc. In the moments when it's calmer, I start thinking about quite interesting things - my hobby projects, repairs of the apartment that is underway, etc. Sometimes I think I would be better off at some non-committal job. But they are paid less. And now I have access to equipment that otherwise I will only look at pictures. I'll probably cross the threshold one day and decide to leave when I have nothing to take from this job. In other words, the monotonous non-committal work gives the freedom to develop one's own projects. There is no substitute for nature in general, but also for the social environment. You are young, in active age, you can experiment. I am a more modest person, if I have a decent income, a few people to keep in touch with (meetings, walks, sitting at a table ...), a place to live, and a partner, I would be happy.
