Kruspe's youthful life is similar to Lindemann's biography: the guy also went in for sports professionally. When the boy was 12 years old, his mother sent him to wrestling classes (which explains the endless arguments of fans that Kruspe was in wrestling). But Richard's fate turned out differently, largely due to chance.

When the teenager was 16 years old, he competed in Czechoslovakia. Abroad, young Kruspe bought a guitar in order to resell it later in the GDR: in Germany, such a deal could make good money. On his return, the guy stopped at a tent camp, where the girl saw that Richard had a guitar. A stranger asked to play, and to interest Fraulein, the young guy improvises, indistinctly jerking the guitar strings one after another. Surprisingly, Kruspe managed to impress the listener: the future Rumm guitarist realized that he was able to play a musical instrument, and besides, the opposite sex was crazy about guitarists.

The young man understands that he cannot live without music, so he enters an instrumental school, where he receives praise from the teacher. So, by the age of 20, Richard Kruspe became the only member of a German group with a musical education.

Obsessed with guitar rhythms, Richard practiced the game for 6 hours a day, but realized that it was time to get out of regular training and participate in musical groups.

While participating in the little-known German punk band First Arsch, the burning brunette meets the future vocalist of "Rammstein" Till Lindemann, who pounded on drums. In the same place, Richard communicates with the rhythm guitarist of the "rumm" Paul Landers.

After the album Herzeleid (1995), the guys became popular and instantly won a significant fan audience. According to Kruspe, the German group cannot be attributed to any direction in music, because "Rammstein" is a unique and original style.
