The fate of a young musician from Zaporozhye Yuri Kaplan is connected with the name of Valentin Strykalo. For example, in those years he was attracted by directing. But he was stopped by the thought that the profession of a filmmaker in Ukraine is unreliable. The guy read student forums where the guys wrote that they were filming with cameras from the 50s, and left this venture. Now he says that he was simply afraid to be an unemployed homeless person with the education of a film director.

After his debut performance in 2008, the singer created several videos, where in a comic manner he addressed a number of Russian pop stars: Timati, Dima Bilan, Potap and Nastya Kamenskikh, the Tea Together group, MakSim and Sergei Zverev. Especially popular after the song dedicated to Malezhik was a message to Bilan, which garnered over 2 million views in a few days, and a little later a song manifesto to Timati, which also covered a multimillion audience.

Immediately after such a resounding success on the Internet, the guy began to call and offer to speak. But the repertoire for a full-fledged concert was clearly not enough. Therefore, Yuri decided to write himself a concert program, with which he began to appear in clubs. Just one with a guitar. But that was not enough for him. Now he finally decided that he wanted to make rock music. Kaplan began looking for like-minded people to create his own team.

Parents supported him in everything, and when the mother first saw the video of her son, she said that it was funny.

In addition to the artist's solo performances in the Ukrainian Comedy Club program and Kiev entertainment clubs, Yuri Kaplan gathers the Valentin Strykalo music group and in 2010 begins work on his first album, Resign and Relax, which will be released two years later.

Together with the new repertoire, the musicians use cavers of famous songs of other performers in their concerts, as well as musical material from the former group of Yuri "in She" and the fictional group "Vodichka-Bubbles". These are such tracks as "Gori" and "Our Summer", which is famous on the Internet under the second name "Yacht, Sail".
