In the first competitions, Julia showed herself in all her glory. In the 100-meter breaststroke final, the Russian came second, behind the leader - American Lilly King. The same result ended in a 200-meter swim.

In 2017, Yulia took revenge after second place at the 2016 Olympics and won the World Swimming Championships in Budapest. Thus, Efimova's collection of world gold was replenished with one more medal.
