Yana Sexte is a Latvian and Russian theater and film actress who became famous for her films The Thaw, Heavenly Wives of Meadow Mari and The Miracle Worker.

Yana was born and raised in the Latvian capital Riga. The girl's surname is translated from Latvian as “cockscomb”, so later Yana’s Russian colleagues jokingly called her Grebeshkova.
