Only after stepping over the 30-year age limit, Yana Mikhailovna came to modern Russian prose. Back in 2010, several of her stories were included in the collection "Fox honesty" together with such writers as Alexandra Taits, Martha Ketro, and others. And then she became the author of a large dystopian novel. From this moment on, the woman calls everything that happens only as "a series of accidents."

The idea to write a novel in the now fashionable genre of post-apocalypse really came spontaneously - after watching a film about a global epidemic. The thought arose - what if a catastrophic situation had developed here and now. Under this impression, Yana Wagner wrote a short story and posted it in LJ (Live Journal).

The work received many flattering reviews, but most importantly, the criticism was favorable, which allowed the debut novel to enter the list of nominees for two prestigious literary awards at once - New Literature (NOS) and National Bestseller. And soon the book began its journey to the international market.

The writer was helped in this by the literary agency Banke, Gumen & Smirnova. For 4 years "Vongozero" was translated into Czech and Slovak, Swedish and French, Polish and Lithuanian. Today the novel has been translated into 11 languages ​​of the world, and many quotes from it have received an independent life.

In 2013, the novel "Living People" appeared in Wagner's bibliography, which became a kind of continuation of "Wongozero". The work reveals the story of the same heroes and their children who defended themselves from the epidemic and are now forced to live together in a confined space, overcoming their weaknesses, parting with illusions, but at the same time acquiring new values.
