After completing several courses and not really hoping for success, Osipova applied for admission to the Russian Institute of Theater Arts GITIS. Having never received a diploma at a theater school, Osipova decides to leave there and begins to study again, but already at a different university, on the course of Yevgeny Kamenkovich and Dmitry Krymov.

Osipova made her debut on the theater stage in 2010. The girl was still a student at GITIS when Konstantin Bogomolov noticed her, who invited the aspiring actress to the play "The Seagull", based on the play of the same name by Anton Pavlovich Chekhov. Yana got the role of Nina Zarechnaya - a young girl, the daughter of a wealthy landowner. The first performance of the young artist took place on the stage of the Moscow theater of Oleg Tabakov.

Later, Yana still received a diploma of education and since then has performed on stage as a professional actress. Having shown herself earlier, in 2011 she easily got a job at the Moscow Art Theater named after A.P. Chekhov.

During the years of her service there, the girl played Kelly in a production based on Mary Chase's "White Rabbit", a woman judge in the play "Do not part with your loved ones" and the girl Anna in Vasily Sigarev's play "Karenin".

Among other theatrical reincarnations of Osipova, it is also worth noting work in the productions of Moscow Petushki as the Angel of Heaven, The French Lesson (Juliet) and The School of Backbiting (Lady Snirwell). In the latter, the artist appeared on stage in the form of Emma Surenovna, for this work Yana received the Audience Award and the Grand Prix at the 30th VGIK International Festival.

Osipova began her film career in 2011 as a dancer. Her debut work in this direction was the short film Red Fountains directed by Timur Khryukin. Actors Vladimir Zemlyanikin, Sergei Sharifullin, Gennady Nazarov and others worked on the same stage with the girl in the historical drama.

In 2012, viewers watched Yana on the screens in the drama "Daughter" directed by Alexander Kasatkin and Natalia Nazarova. There she got a more prominent role. The main characters in the tape were played by Maria Smolnikova, Oleg Tkachev and Igor Mazepa.

The next time Yana appeared on the screens only in 2014. It was the adventure series "Heritage" by the same director Alexander Kasatkin. It is not only the ballerina who claims this wealth, the criminals also want to take possession of her money, for which they hire a former intelligence officer who promised to help. But suddenly he discovers that the woman's daughter is alive, and with her he is connected with dramatic events from the past.

The role in this series did not bring Osipova much success, and therefore she again plunged into work in the theater and next time appeared on TV screens only 2 years later. In 2016, the actress played the role of young Olya in the comedy "In the Access Zone of Love" by Vera Sentry. In the same film, Dmitry Dyuzhev, Svetlana Khodchenkova, Svetlana Nemolyaeva and Antonina Papernaya starred with her.
