Will Arnett

A high school trouble maker, Will Arnett wasn't cut out for school. As a teenager, his mother detected in him a talent for comedy, and urged him to pursue an acting career. He takes this advice to the letter, and auditions for a role in a commercial. The experience is enriching and gives birth to a vocation for the profession. He then left his native Toronto to settle in New York, where he studied theater at the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute.

It was in 1996, after a few plays played on New York stages, that the Canadian actor launched his Hollywood career. But his beginnings are difficult: we keep offering him simple figurations or supporting roles (Ed's Next Move, Sex and the city), others slip from his fingers and The Mike O'Malley Show, the series putting him in scene is canceled after two episodes ... The hard knocks accumulate and plunge him briefly into depression and alcoholism.

It was not until 2003 that he saw luck smile on him, with the television series Arrested Development, where he played George Oscar "Gob" Bluth, the eldest of the show's non-standard family, an arrogant pseudo conjurer. He is then found in several other series such as The Sopranos, Will & Grace or Boston Public where he makes remarkable appearances. On cinema screens, Arnett is just as active. In 2005, he gave the reply to Jane Fonda and Jennifer Lopez in His mother or me, and appeared in the comedies Les Rois du patin (2007) and Semi-Pro (2008). In 2010, he played the role of Antonio, the Italian artist who only has eyes for Beth (Kristen Bell) in It was in Rome.

Confirmed voice actor, he willingly lends his voice to characters from animated films: the lone vulture in Ice Age 2, the cook Horst in the "succulent" Ratatouille, or Mr. Perkins in Me, ugly and nasty. But it is especially on the small window that the actor has success. The Office, Up All Night ... More recently The Millers (where he plays the main role) and Arrested Development (in the meantime passed through the cancellation box before being renewed) ... none escapes him. In 2014, he offered his stamp to Batman in The Great Lego Adventure and Surly in the English version of Operation The Nutcracker, before joining the cast of Ninja Turtles, in the role of Vernon Fenwick, the cameraman working with April O 'Neil (Megan Fox).
