Vladimir Morozov is a Russian figure skater who has built a successful career in pair skating. Together with Evgenia Tarasova, he repeatedly became the medalist of the Russian championship, the winner of the Grand Prix, the silver medalist of the Olympics and the World Championship. Vladimir Evgenievich Morozov was born in the city of Potsdam (Germany) on November 1, 1992. Almost nothing is known about the family in which the athlete grew up - Vladimir does not like to be frank about his relatives. On the paternal side, the Morozovs were all military, and in the 90s of the twentieth century, Yevgeny Morozov went into business. 

The family sometimes badly needed money, but the parents believed in their son and invested strength and last funds in his development, including sports. The athlete's family returned to Russia in 1994, because the young man does not even remember the German pages of his biography.

Given the busy training schedule, the famous skater simply does not have time for his personal life. Even in the photo on Instagram, the skater was filmed at work in the company of Evgenia Tarasova. Then Vladimir was barely 13 years old, and he came under the leadership of the honored coach of the Russian Federation Nina Mikhailovna Moser.

Vladimir performed with Irina until 2010, and in the 2011-2012 season, the skater paired up with Ekaterina Krutskikh. In 2010, Vladimir and Irina became members of the Russian national team.

Together with Ekaterina Morozov, he skated for only one year, after which Evgenia Tarasova became his partner. Simultaneously with the change of partner, Vladimir also changed his coach. Performing in 2012 at international competitions, Morozov and Tarasova were leading in the Warsaw Cup, and participation in the Russian national championship brought them second place among juniors and fifth place among adults. Excellent results in Russian competitions gave the guys a ticket to the World Youth Championship in 2013, where they were fifth in the overall ranking.

At the second stage of the Grand Prix, held in the fall of 2014 in Canada, Vladimir and Evgenia took bronze medals. But when performing at the fourth stage of the same tournament in Moscow, Vladimir fell again while performing a free program. Nevertheless, young people still earned the second place.

Having given all their strength to international performances, the Russian figure skaters received only bronze medals at the national championship, and therefore did not qualify for the European Championship. But due to the fact that the skaters who were supposed to represent Russia at the continental championship in the 2015-2016 season were injured, Morozov and Tarasova nevertheless took their place. At the continental championship, the couple did not disappoint the fans and took bronze medals.

In the 2017-2018 season, figure skaters Morozov and Tarasova entered in excellent physical shape, which they demonstrated at the Ondrej Nepela Memorial, taking gold. And the series of the Grand Prix in figure skating in October 2016 brought the children bronze medals. By the Russian championship, the skaters' strength dried up, and gold slipped out of their hands. But the couple's performance at the World Championships in Finland helped the Russians win tickets to the 2018 Olympics.

In preparation for the upcoming Olympics, Vladimir and Evgenia devoted all their free time to training, which favorably affected their results. As a result, the couple won gold at the first stage of the Grand Prix in October 2017, and also a month later - at the fifth, penultimate stage of the Grand Prix in France.

Given the scandal that erupted around Russian athletes who were not admitted to the Olympics, Vladimir and his partner faced a serious dilemma - to abandon such an important goal or demonstrate an irresponsible civic position, speaking without a national flag. After lengthy reflections, Vladimir Morozov and Evgenia Tarasova announced the verdict - they will not refuse to participate in the Olympic Games.

On February 14, after the skating of the short program at the 2018 Olympics, the Russian couple became the second, but everything was decided on February 15, 2018 after the free program. Unfortunately, the rental of Morozov and Tarasova did not go so smoothly, the couple made several mistakes and mistakes, which allowed them to take only 4th place. But in Japan, Tarasova and Morozov suffered a fiasco, taking 4th place.

Nevertheless, the athletes did not give up and already at the beginning of the 2019/2020 season issued a bright program, which included numbers to the music "Bolero" and to the composition Te Amo by Umberto Tozzi.

The short program, which used the work of Maurice Ravel, helped the couple break the record at the Russian Championship. The skaters scored 83.91 points.
