Exactly three months after the victory in the Great Patriotic War in Stalingrad, in the family of the pilot Georgy Fedorovich Miguli and the medical statistics of Lyudmila Alexandrovna, the firstborn Vladimir was born, who would later become the famous Soviet songwriter, Russian Joe Dassin. My father was Ukrainian by nationality. He was a prominent person, he knew how to play folk instruments, sang songs, went in for sports.

The life of the family of a military pilot was associated with travel. Little Volodya and his parents have visited everywhere: in the GDR, in Poland, in the Caucasus, in the Urals. The last refuge for them was the city of Orsk, where the gifted boy went to a music school. Here, when Volodya was almost seventeen, his father told his mother that he wanted to leave. For the young man, the divorce of his parents was a blow. Together with Lyudmila Alexandrovna, he moved back to Stalingrad to live with his grandparents.

Vladimir studied well not only in an ordinary school, but also in a music school. In addition, he had a category in boxing, the young man was engaged in shooting, swimming. But, at the insistence of his mother, in 1963 he entered the Volga Medical Institute. At the very first courses, Vladimir creates the group "Allegro" on the basis of an amateur club. And two years later, he fulfills his dream and enters a music school, which he graduates simultaneously with the medical institute.

So a young man with diplomas of a facial surgeon and musician travels to Leningrad to try his luck at the conservatory. He passes the entrance exams successfully and gets into the class of Professor S. M. Slonimsky - the famous Soviet composer.

In the last year, together with the poet Viktor Gin, Vladimir Migulya creates the song "Talk to Me, Mom", which was performed by Valentina Tolkunova. But Vladimir wanted not only to create music, but also to perform it. For this, the gifted young man attended vocal lessons from the teacher N.A. Serval.

After the resounding success, the young composer began to receive orders from film studios, from theaters for writing music to performances. He even played at this time in the film "In the land of a forgotten tale" of a fairy-tale prince. The musician creates a children's musical, which was successfully staged in Riga and Lvov. The composer has a phenomenal flair for talent. Poets such as Larisa Rubalskaya and Simon Osiashvili began with him. He writes songs even to the poems of Dzhuna - E. Davitashvili.

Moving to Moscow was marked by the victory of his hit at the "Song-74" festival. Vladimir Georgievich entered into an unequal battle with the mafia, with racketeering. For his disagreement with them, he paid with the death of a friend and the progression of his own disease.

In 1994, unknown persons who tried to take away the office on the Old Arbat from Vladimir Miguli, took action: in addition to setting fire to his apartment in March, the criminals on April 7 planted a bomb in the composer's car. His driver Eduard Popenkov was killed. The composer was then very stunned, but in addition, he experienced the strongest shock from the loss.

A prominent, handsome young man was unlucky for a long time in his personal life. He registered his first marriage when he was almost 30 years old. His wife was a girl named Anna, who worked as a journalist at a television studio. They lived for more than five years, their daughter Julia was born. After the divorce, after a while, Anna emigrated to the United States, and after her death from brain cancer in 1995, Julia returned to Russia to her already sick father.

Miguli's second wife was his fan, young Marina Leonova. Together they lived very little, since the girl went to another.

Soon Vladimir met the love of his life. She turned out to be the married Marina Simonia, a journalist and famous presenter of Estonian television. Despite the fact that she did not immediately agree to leave her husband, Vladimir persistently courted her to the bitter end. As a result, for several years he found real family happiness.

Two children were brought up in the musician's house: Marina's daughter from her first marriage, Keta, and the common baby Liana. The few photos of Miguli's family archive show that for the first time with Marina he really felt happy.

By the time the composer was attacked, he was already sick. The disease began to manifest itself at the age of 47, when for the first time the sports Vladimir Georgievich began to refuse a leg. After a while, violations of speech began. It was not clear what the musician was sick with. After the examinations, the doctors made a disappointing diagnosis. All these symptoms spoke of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, a neurological disease that leads to complete atrophy of a person's muscles and ends in death. This illness later became the cause of the composer's death.

Relatives and friends fought as best they could. We raised money for an operation in Germany, which was carried out practically without anesthesia. During these years he wrote the last cycle of 17 songs to the verses of Alexandra Ochirova. The composition "Russia" even brought a laureate to Edita Piekha at the "Song-95" festival. In August, friends and colleagues held a concert in honor of the composer's 50th birthday, which he could no longer attend. Migulya, bedridden, listened to the broadcast of the concert on the radio.

The composer died of the last stage of multiple sclerosis in mid-February 1996. A lot of people attended the civil funeral service. After parting with Vladimir Georgievich, he was buried in the church at the Vagankovskoye cemetery, where his grave is located.
