The 2012-2013 season was no less striking. Thanks to the efforts of Veronika Vitkova and her teammate Gabriela Koukalova, the Czech national team won two silver medals in the women's and mixed relay races. In addition, Veronika Vitkova brought the country a bronze medal at the World Championship (the sporting event took place in the Czech town of Nove Mesto). The next stage, which took place in the German Oberhof, brought the girl second place.

But other favorites of the competition - Anastasia Kuzmina from Slovakia, Daria Domracheva (Belarus) and Finnish Kaisa Mäkäräinen - did not live up to the expectations of the fans.

Veronica herself admitted in an interview that she is happy with her own victory, stressing that triumph causes absolutely incredible feelings. However, the girl emphasized, she will have to seriously work on her shooting accuracy in order to compete with the leaders in future competitions.
