At first, she was sent to dance and art school, but Veronica had time to climb roofs and do other dangerous things. Tennis captured her entirely. For the first time she came to training for a company with a friend when she was visiting her grandmother on vacation in Kazan. Veronica was then 8 years old and, having returned to Magnitogorsk, where the family lived then, the girl announced that she no longer intends to part with the racket.

However, her first sporting love was hockey, of which she became a fan in early childhood. Kudermetova rooted for all the clubs where her father played, but most of all she fell in love with Magnitogorsk “Metallurg”, for which she is worried even now, although she has long moved to live in Moscow. The younger sister Polina also took a great interest in tennis and began to show good results. Her father worked with her, but he handed Veronica to more experienced professional mentors, who saw great potential in the young tennis player.

From the age of 11, Kudermetova began to train at the CSKA sports center under the leadership of Oksana Tektova, and then began working with Alexey Piven, in whose group she spent several years. After that, Sergei Demekhin, a specialist who worked with Vera Zvonareva, became the girl's coach and brought her to the 2nd place in the world rating. In 2011, Veronica went to the USA, where she began to study in the team of Maria Sharapova.

The father put in a lot of effort to provide the financial base for his children's expensive hobby. The man was constantly looking for sponsors who would enable girls to participate in as many tournaments as possible. In 2012, Eduard and his eldest daughter went to a training base in Vienna, where Kudermetova was offered to stay for 2 years and then obtain Austrian citizenship in order to represent this country on the world stage. But Veronica flatly refused, being proud of her nationality and insisting that she wanted to speak only for Russia.

Already at the age of 15, Veronica was in the top 700 rackets in the world, and among juniors she was 22nd. At 16, the girl became the champion of Russia at the age of 18, from 13 she began to take junior titles in the country. In 2014, the girl won her first personal ITF title, and since then she has won 20 times at this level, however, in most cases in doubles.

Since 2014, the tennis player began to represent the national team and a year later won the bronze medal of the Summer Universiade in mixed doubles with Aslan Karatsev.

Gradually increasing her position in the world ranking, the girl reached the WTA tournaments. It was not easy for Kudermetova to break into the main draw here, but by 2018 she managed to make a breakthrough, defeating a number of rivals from the top 100 of the world ranking - Varvara Lepchenko, Karla Suarez, Annette Kontaveit and Victoria Kuzhmova. The girl began the 2019 season by going to the main draw of the Grand Slam at the Australian Open, by February for the first time making her way into the first hundred rackets of the world.

The tennis player's personal life developed directly on the court. Sergey Demyokhin began to train the girl from the age of 14, noting her extraordinary abilities, and over time, professional relationships grew into romantic ones. At one time Sergey won a dozen ITF tournaments, got into the top 700 of the ATP rating and managed to work as a model. In 2017, Demyokhin proposed to the girl in a romantic setting, and the young couple got married. True, there was neither a magnificent celebration, nor guests - the lovers simply signed and went to the next tournament, which replaced their honeymoon. The husband continues to train Veronica, and under his leadership she is making progress. True, she doesn't like sparring with Sergey, because he knows all her weak points.

The girl jokes that now she can save on the services of a coach, since they are included in the family budget. She fully supports herself thanks to the prize money and was able to buy an apartment in the center of Moscow, not far from her parents.

The athlete does not really like to talk about personal facts of her biography, but she posts what she is ready to share on her Instagram profile. There are many shots from the court, but there are also family photos, funny selfies and photos in a swimsuit, which a slender tennis player (her weight is 63 kg with an increase of 175 cm) lays out from her vacation.

In 2019, the athlete is having the most successful season of her career, climbing higher and higher in the WTA rankings. Moreover, she manages to increase performance in both individual and doubles. Compared to 2018, which Kudermetova finished in 115th position among singles, she managed to make a significant leap, having risen to 56th line by July 2019.
