Vera Kamsha was born on November 5, 1962 in Lviv. The family of the writer moved there after the war by order of the higher authorities. Here little Vera entered school, received a certificate and became a student. Kamsha chose the specialty “petroleum engineer”, which was unusual for a girl, and graduated from the Polytechnic University with honors. According to the writer, it was not a matter of diligence, but a desire to help friends, whom she suggested at all tests and exams.

Vera thought that technical education gives more than humanitarian, so she did not regret that she deprived the attention of the literary or history faculties. Youth passed among representatives of different nationalities and countries. After graduating from the university, the former students went home, and Kamsha decided to try her luck in Leningrad.

In the northern capital, the girl got a job as an assistant to a deputy of the Leningrad City Council. Here she faced the first "romantic" hobby - democracy, and then with the corresponding disappointments. On the advice of her friends, Vera decided to try her hand at journalism and by 1994 she took up it as her main activity.

Vera Kamsha follows the habit of not spreading about her personal life. It is known that a writer has a spouse. Vera has an official website, which is updated with content and photos. In 2001, the writer's debut work, the book "Dark Star", was released. The novel, together with the sequel entitled "Incomparable Right", formed the basis of the cycle "The Chronicles of Artia". Subsequently, the series was supplemented by the compositions "Blood of Sunset", "Argument of Kings" and "Tower of Fury", published chronologically one after another.

Vera described a fascinating magical world, taking as a basis the leitmotifs of the works of the mentor Perumov. But her characters quickly found their own path and destinies.

"The Chronicles of Artia" consists of several dilogies, the work on which continues. The first tells about the "War of the Deer", the subsequent ones tell about the "War of the Daffodils", "The Year of Three Stars" and "The Year". The plots intertwined palace intrigues, magic and mysticism, a detective line and details that were not previously revealed by Russian fantasy.

At the Fantcon NP 2002 conference, the first cycle of works by Vera Kamsha won an award in the category "Best Fantasy Work - 2001". Completing the work on the series, Vera switched to new books, which were united under the title "Reflections of Eterna".

The creative biography of the author continues to develop. The bibliography was replenished with stand-alone novels like Mlava Krasnaya, written in collaboration with Nick Perumov, stories and novellas.

Now the writer is working on the series "Reflections of Eterna". The first book of the cycle was published back in 2004. The continuation of the narrative regularly appeared on the shelves of bookstores until 2012. A five-year hiatus made fans of Kamsha's work languish in anticipation.
