Virastyuk received the title of master of sports in 1995, and after 3 years he was listed as an international master of sports. 2 years later he first appeared on Ukrainian television as a participant in the World's Strongest Man all-around. Until 2000, he was a member of the Ukrainian national athletics team, and in 2004, the man was invited to the Fort Boyard game. In his youth, he did not miss the opportunity and constantly appeared in various programs and competitions.

The title "Strongest Man in the World" was first received in 2004, and in 2007 he repeated his own success, becoming the world champion. There are many records and achievements in the athlete's biography, an interesting fact: almost all of them are related to the movement of vehicles. The first time it was tram cars, then 2 times the couplers of cars (10 and 7 pieces).

Sports did not bring the man enough money to support his family. Therefore, in 2000, in Lviv, he got a job at the Galnaftogaz concern, where he acted as a driver and security guard. And when the man's face became recognizable, they began to invite him for filming in commercials, so he appeared in the commercials of Arsenal beer and Alcesst building materials.

For the first time he starred in a movie in 2009, it was the film "Like Cossacks ...", where Vasily appeared in the form of a blacksmith. In 2011, he appeared in a video for the Boombox group, and 2 years later he played Velet in the film Ivan Power.

In 2006 she went to Turkey to the Palandoken ski resort and died in an avalanche. With Virastyuk they have a common child - a son, Adam.

His personal life did not stop there. The man entered into his second marriage in 2007 with a girl named Inna, an employee of a pharmaceutical company. They met when they were in a traffic jam, each in his own car.
