The star of the young actor Vasily Lykshin rose rapidly and flashed brightly in the sky of Russian cinema. The artist did not have an acting education. The actor was born in January 1987 in the Moscow region, in the village of Gorki-2, in the Odintsovo district. Parents abused alcohol. At the school, Lykshin again found himself in an unpleasant situation: together with his classmates he climbed into the general's dacha. Later, Vasily admitted that they had entered someone else's house not to steal, but to satisfy their hunger.

A police patrol promptly arrived at the dacha equipped with video cameras. The guys ran away, and Vasya was detained. This time the punishment turned out to be more severe: the teenager was sent to the closed Sebezh special school for a year and a half.

Who knows how the boy's biography would have developed if not for the director Svetlana Stasenko. She was preparing for the filming of the crime drama "Angel on the Roadside", she looked at four hundred guys at the casting, but she found a suitable type when she saw the tape with Vasya Lykshin. The director instantly determined that in front of her was a congenital artist.

Stasenko persuaded the head of the special school to let the ward go to shoot the film, vouched for the guy and soon issued guardianship over him.

The drama "Angel on the Road" was released in 2004. The 15-year-old pupil of the orphanage played one of the main roles. His hero, 12-year-old Mishka, is like two peas in a pod similar to the actor himself: the same difficult teenager from a troubled family who ended up in a colony.

Lykshin, who did not study acting, played brilliantly, becoming the favorite of the film crew. He never let the director down: disciplined and flexible, he grasped the wishes of the operator and senior colleagues on the fly.

After the end of filming, Svetlana Stasenko adopted the young artist. For his work in the drama, he received a prestigious award - the American Young artist awards, which is called the children's Oscar.

Lykshin married a 5-year-old eldest girl who worked in the editorial office of a Moscow magazine. In January 2009, Elena gave birth to her 22-year-old husband, daughter Kira. From her first marriage, she had a son, Nikita, whom Lykshin adopted.

The sudden death of a young and already famous actor shocked fans. Lykshin died in his sleep on an October night in 2009. He came back from filming tired and went to bed. The wife and daughter stayed with their parents. The dead Vasily was found by neighbors in the barracks.

The artist's wife and relatives did not believe in the cause of death announced after the autopsy: cardiovascular failure, cardiac arrest. According to them, valuable things and money disappeared from the room. Vasily never complained of heart pain.
