Tumor Formation Of The Epipharynx - Cancer

The Story

Hello, I'm Georgi, a 32-year-old man. I come from a small mining town. Today I live in Varna. Reading stories and misfortunes of people with such a diagnosis on the net, I will try to tell as briefly as possible my misfortunes, hoping that in some way, my story will help people with similar diagnoses. And so .. When I was 17 I had frequent and heavy bleeding from the nose - my right nostril, remembering one of them was so heavy that I was very scared - I thought I was done .. A huge amount of blood to form a small puddle on the floor. It happened at the home of my grandfather, who called an ambulance with the ambulance. At the initial examination by the local ENT (there was no other) specialist, nothing was found, except for suggestions of weak capillaries for my age. This doctor prescribed and performed several procedures. on ' showering and tamponing '. Here I want to note that the procedure itself, more 'tamponing' by this doctor, was hellishly painful, because it was performed with some sharp-tipped tweezers, which I felt hurt the walls of the nostrils hard and deep, while he was 'pushing' some bandage in my right nostril. After this procedure, the bleeding stopped, but I began to feel over time (I do not remember for what period of time ..) that from my right nostril I could hardly breathe, while at one point I could not even with effort 'air ..

I even started to feel slight difficulties in the left nostril .. I went with my parents to the same ENT doctor who did' swabbing and tamponade ', but this time his diagnosis was sinusitis .. He recommended my parents to do warm-ups. with sea salt on my face, or the other option was to have a puncture. We only did warm-ups with sea salt on the face. The effect of this was minimal, close to zero. As I said, then I was 17 years old, and then I had the 3rd Military Commission, where I went to different offices - internal, eye, ENT .. When I entered the ENT office, the doctor was different and asked me if I had any complaints. from nose - ears .. I told him the story I told you so far. The doctor took a 'mirror', like the dentists', you saw them. With it he looked through the oral cavity, deep into the nasal cavity behind my tonsils. The doctor looked at me in surprise and told me that I had a growth - education (almost the size of a walnut) in the right half, deep in the nasal cavity. I was sent for diagnosis and treatment at the Smolyan Regional Hospital. I went then with my mother and I was immediately admitted for diagnosis and hospitalization. Then I realized that there was something serious, but I did not continue to think more deeply .. They did my initial examination (by 2 ENT specialists), as a result the doctors decided to do a biopsy .. The way they did my biopsy in this hospital was, to put it mildly, disgusting. The reason - lack of equipment! In order to reach the bottom of the nasal cavity and tear off material for examination, they used alum-type scissors and "rubber hoses" 2 pieces - (such as those used to tighten the arm when they want to find a vein to stab you ..) which passed through my nostrils at one end and came out through my mouth at the other end. By tightening they are tied in a knot in front of my upper lip, thus the tonsils are pressed with these " From the Smolyan Regional Hospital we were sent for treatment.

And there I was again admitted immediately for diagnosis and hospitalization. The procedure was repeated. Initial examination - Biopsy - Result .. Here the biopsy was done properly with the presence of equipment - they used something like a probe .. Then I learned from the doctor that such diagnoses were very rare while explaining to his interns. See told them that during their career they are unlikely to face such a diagnosis .. Again a week hospitalized without treatment until the diagnosis is confirmed .. This time I saw my epicrisis .. Final diagnosis: Angifibroma epipharyngis - juvenile. Fibroepipharyngoscopy - a tumor formation with a broad base, involving the epipharynx with a smooth surface, wrinkled, completely obturating the right choana and partially obturating the left. Otoscopically - in the right opaque tympanic membrane, sunken to the cavum tympani. CAT: The tumor formation usurps the base of the skull, reaches the right sphenoid .. Physician: Assoc. Prof. Yovchev After the results we were again referred to another hospital - SUB "Queen Joanna" 1st ENT Clinic - Sofia .. And there I was admitted again immediately for diagnosis, and hospitalization. The procedure was repeated .. Initial examination - Biopsy - Result .. Final diagnosis: Confirmed with the previous one - Angiofibroma Juvenilis. The actual treatment began. I was assigned an operation under general anesthesia, and the operation was taken over by Prof. Ivan Tsenev. The operation itself lasted nearly 3 hours. When I woke up from anesthesia there was a bank of blood flowing through my left leg and another system with some white fluid in my left arm .. I obviously lost a lot of blood during the operation, as a large part of it has entered my stomach, because when I woke up, I vomited only blood - about 1 liter. I had a 'tamponade' in my right nostril again. For at least a week I ate some special liquid food, resembling the color, taste and density, like boza. The tumor formation separated radically. Some facial nerve was removed due to suspicion of metastases or distractions. Now, to this day, the upper right part of my cheek, under the eye to the nose are numb, as well as my teeth from the upper right cheek - as foreign to me, but what to do .. In the battle with such things does not pass without casualties .. Postoperative histology - NOSOPHARYNGEAL ANGIOFIBROME. So far, things have been successful .. After a year I passed a check-up and everything was ok :) During my troubles and the doctors I met, a version popped up between them, don't underestimate them for a simple cold! Greetings from me :)
