Biography
Tim Allen was educated at the University of Michigan when he was arrested on October 2, 1978 at Kalamazoo airport for possession of approximately 70 grams of cocaine. To avoid life imprisonment, he agrees to testify against his accomplice and will only serve 2 years and 4 months in prison. The young man began his career as a stand-up comedian in small theaters and rose to fame in the 90s, with the television series Papa DIY, of which he was also a screenwriter. Holder of a diploma in television production, he took his first steps in cinema in 1989 with a small role in the drama Tropical Snow.
Tim Allen made a name for himself by appearing in big family comedies, including Super Christmas (1994), in which he played a funny Santa Claus and which collected $ 144 million at the box office. A year later, he participated in the triumph of Toy Story by lending his voice to the character of Buzz Lightyear in the original version of the film. A "role" that he will resume in 1999 in Toy Story 2. His performances in An Indian in New York (1997) and Big Trouble (2002) confirm his popularity with the general public.
Tim Allen's career is strewn with superlatives: he is a Super Dad in 2001 and takes on his Santa Claus costume again the following year for Hyper Christmas in 2002 and then for The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause in 2006.
