Hello! A 21-year-old boy who recently moved away from home is writing to you. The reason is the fact that in the city from which I had to move with my family there was high unemployment. Several factories and the main companies were closed, which provided the residents with the finances of a full life. Without taking your time, I want to share the heavy nostalgia for home that I have not been able to deal with for 8 months now since I live in the capital. I started working, but even that doesn't help me deal with this depression and nostalgia for home. I can't find the strength to deal with these feelings. And I know that at this stage there is no going back. Please for advice and thanks in advance !!!
Come back, is it that hard? !! Girl.
Start dating and meet new people your age.
For a start, do not shut yourself in your home, and every free minute try to be outside and among people. Finding new friends will be much easier. Also, find a hobby and something to fill your free time with. And last but not least, Bulgaria is not so huge, so if you have 2-3 days off you can always go home to your family. And do you ask people who go abroad? At least you can go home sometimes, and there are people who are so far away that they haven't been home for years. It is definitely much harder for them. So don't despair, just find a way to fill your time with something other than thinking about what your friends and family are doing right now. Believe me, it helps. I studied abroad and that was my salvation. When I was very sad,
I experienced the same thing, but 15 years ago as a student. A nightmare! I live in a small country town where I feel reborn. I was a student in one of the biggest Bulgarian cities. I couldn't fight the nostalgia for my hometown. My husband is also from the city and we stayed to live here. The worst thing is that my children are in the same situation - they study in this same big city / student and pupil /, but they do not like it and watch every free minute to be home. This is not good at all today, in this dynamic world of technology. Try to fight yourself, although not easily! After all, to receive millions when your soul cries, everything else loses its meaning! Success!
Thank you for the advice !!!
And I am the complete opposite. I am a second year student in Sofia, and I am from a small town and I do not mind at all, I even go home only once a month, and I am not very far, I am 200 km from Sofia. And so I feel very good, not only because of the parties, but also because of the fact that I am away from my parents and do what I want.
Your situation is not a final verdict, one always has a choice and if you are not happy in Sofia try to find a way to return to your city. I completely understand you, I am from a big city that I love very much and I would never leave. Now it offers very good opportunities, but it wasn't like that before, but I found a way to achieve something and be good here. Get fit, work in Sofia, study or achieve some qualification and after you collect enough money if there is no other job opportunity, start some small business enough to support you in your own city. Set a goal and work consistently in this direction as much as you need to achieve it. There are many activities nowadays for which it does not matter where you are, you only need an internet connection ... Good luck!
