The Boy In The Class

Hello! As you may have learned from the title, this is about the boy in the class. We are now 8th grade. New class, we didn't know each other before. We didn't talk to the boy in question for the first 2 weeks, but we gradually relaxed - he wrote to me first, we started chatting, talking, sharing and so on. I already had some sympathy for him, but not strong enough. One day I just told myself I wasn't going to deal with it and I pulled away a little. I didn't want to like him. I was afraid to fall in love again after a long time (1 year) another boy was making fun of my feelings. I hadn't fallen in love in 2 years, so I didn't want to. It was wonderful, although I always felt that I was missing something. One month ago, he started paying more attention to me at school (he told me he was angry that I wasn't writing to him, but I didn't want to). So 4 weeks ago, he started hugging me every day, he offered me to watch a movie together on Skype, we watched, we talked for hours and so on. My question is - do you think he likes me or is he some kind of jerk. Thanks in advance! :)
