Svetlana Pismichenko is a Russian theater and film actress. Since 2003 - Honored Artist of the Russian Federation. Svetlana starred in the cult film of the nineties - "Brother", it was she who played the train driver, with whom Danila Bagrov fell in love.

Svetlana Viktorovna Pismichenko was born on November 28, 1964 in the village of Burli, Kostanay region, Kazakh SSR. Her parents met in the virgin lands, where they were sent on Komsomol vouchers. We decided to stay there. Mom Nadezhda Semyonovna worked as a projectionist, dad Victor Antonovich - as a film distributor. Of course, Svetlana did not miss a single film premiere and from childhood was immersed in the atmosphere of cinema.

When the girl was 13 years old, she went on an excursion to St. Petersburg. Walking along Mokhovaya, I saw the sign of the Leningrad State Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography and realized that she wanted to connect her future with acting. After school, she decided to enter LGITMiK. True, in the city, Svetlana's family had neither relatives nor close friends.

The only acquaintance in St. Petersburg was the brother-soldier of Svetlana's father, and he asked him to shelter his daughter during the exams. As a result, the girl lived in the family of comrade Kogan for six months, and after that she was given a hostel.

Pismichenko entered the course of director Igor Vladimirov. During his studies, Vladimirov invited the future actress to the Lensovet Theater. At that time, Alisa Freundlich and Mikhail Boyarsky were already working there. As Svetlana herself says, she literally froze at the sight of eminent actors.

Svetlana Pismichenko began acting in films in 1989. At first, the roles were mostly episodic. And the pictures are not particularly noticeable. Soon Svetlana gave birth, and there were no offers to act. But one day she was asked to go to Lenfilm to meet a young and “promising” director. It turned out to be Alexey Balabanov. She had already heard about him from her friend Viktor Sukhorukov, and now she herself met him.

Later, Alexey approved Svetlana for the main role in the film "The Castle". The film turned out to be philosophical, phantasmagoric and, like all Balabanov's works, social. He was immediately noted by film critics.

In 1997, Svetlana was again lucky to play in Balabanov's film "Brother". This time Alexey wrote the role specifically for Sveta. She played Sveta, a tram woman with whom the main character, Danila Bagrov, fell in love. Especially for this role, Svetlana learned to drive a tram. 

The filming of the most iconic film of the 90s took place with limited funding, the money was exclusively for film. Therefore, the actors were filmed for free, in their own clothes. And they worked practically without duplicates, because the film was expensive. Only a year later, Svetlana received a fee for this painting - about $ 1000. At that time, the amount seemed to her huge, the fact is that she did not initially count on them.

By the way, Svetlana is involved in the choice of the name of the main character in the film "Brother". Once she and her son met Alexei Balabanov, and he asked the boy's name. Hearing his name, he noted that it was beautiful. A little later, Danila Bagrov appeared in the script. On the set of Brother, everyone became friends, so the death of Sergei Bodrov, and later Alexei Balabanov, was perceived by Svetlana as a personal tragedy.

In 2005, the actress took part in Dmitry Nagiyev's humorous project "Beware, Zadov!" Pismichenko played the main character's companion. Nastenka had a huge mole on her face, rat pigtails and round glasses. The character turned out to be funny and memorable. On the set of Zadova, Svetlana met Yura Galtsev, Lyudmila Gurchenko, Lyubov Polishchuk. As the actress says, these shootings became a real outlet for her.

In 2006, Svetlana starred in Marina Razbezhkina's film Yar based on Yesenin's story. The actress played a beggar who kills a woman to take her beads away. In 2008, Balabanov shot "Morphine". Pismichenko played Pelageya Ivanovna. The shooting was difficult, many scenes were filmed in the cold. One of the main scenes was a scene called “bathing naked virgins”. Svetlana Pismichenko and Ingeborga Dapkunaite swam naked in a trough. Not only was there no hot water in the studio, it had to be heated with boilers, and the trough was also leaking. 

By the way, the script was written by Sergei Bodrov based on the stories of Mikhail Bulgakov "Notes of a Young Doctor" and "Morphine". And Balabanov, after reading it, immediately saw Bodrov in the title role, but this did not happen due to the death of the actor in the Karmadon Gorge in 2002. As a result, Dr. Polyakov was played by Leonid Bichevin.

The children did not follow in their mother's footsteps. Despite the fact that they spent all their childhood in the theater and played more than one role, neither Timofey nor Daniel wanted to become actors. Timofey entered the Academy under the President for customs, and Daniel worked on the Smeshariki project.

A new full-length series "Smesharikov" is scheduled to be released in 2018. As before, Svetlana Pismichenko voices the beautiful pig Nyusha.
