Svetlana met her second chosen one Valery Kuzmin at a mature age. The long-awaited meeting, which changed the artist's personal life, took place after the singer visited the Sretensky Monastery. Soon after meeting Valery Lazareva, she found out that she was pregnant.

Daughter Natalia was born when the artist was 34 years old. The girl received her name in honor of her friend Svetlana Natalia Vetlitskaya, who became the godmother of the newborn. The birth was difficult, the singer was in intensive care for nine days after the operation.
