Stuart Townsend is an Irish actor who is remembered by the audience for his roles as Lestat de Lyoncourt in the vampire drama The Cursed King and the equally enigmatic Dorian Gray from the League of Outstanding Gentlemen.

Stewart was born on December 15, 1972, in Hoote, a northern suburb of Dublin. The boy's father, Peter Townsend, was a professional golfer, mother lorna Hogan - a model, quite popular in the country in the 1970s. Stuart's younger brother and sister, Dylan and Chloe, were later born.
