Stas Kostyushkin is a popular singer, a former member of the star duet "Tea for Two", the soloist of the musical projects "Stanley Shulman Band" and "A-Dessa", a participant in ten rating TV shows. The artist, like his parents, is a native of Odessa. Stas was born in August 1971 in the family of the jazz saxophonist Mikhail Iosifovich and the former fashion model Nadezhda Arkadyevna. Childhood and adolescence were spent in the city on the banks of the Neva. Here, thanks to his mother, Kostyushkin first appeared for a Soviet fashion magazine, and his father took his son to a music school. He had an operatic voice - a dramatic baritone. The agile guy managed to sing in the choir, play the piano and attend the judo section.

After graduating from school, Stas entered the Rimsky-Korsakov School of Music, intending to continue his education at the conservatory in the future. But during training, his nose was broken, which tragically affected the vocals. From promising Kostyushkin went to the ranks of the professionally unfit.

He restored his voice at the Amsterdam Conservatory, but did not return to the school from which he was expelled - he got a job in a children's theater, where he met Denis Klyaver, the son of actor Ilya Oleinikov. It turned out that Stas's father is Denis's favorite musician, and Ilya is Stas's favorite actor. Friends thought about creating a musical pop group.

Kostyushkin still dreams of performing classical arias. He has an international competition laureate diploma, which entitles him to audition at the Vienna Opera.

In 1994, the duet "Tea for Two" was born. The project was produced by Sergey Kuryokhin. The band debuted with a video for the song "Pilot".

The first to notice the guys was Mikhail Shufutinsky and invited them on a joint tour. Laima Vaikule helped open the doors to the Russian show business wide, allowing Kostyushkin and Klyaver to perform between numbers at a solo concert. "Tea for two" traveled across Russia and neighboring countries, acquired an army of fans. Therefore, for the fans of Kostyushkin and Klyaver's creativity it came as a surprise when in 2011 the artists announced that the Tea for Two project was closed.

It was rumored that Stas left the group with a scandal: the stage partners had a falling out, and his wife Julia played a decisive role in the conflict. In the studio of the TV show "The Fate of a Man" Kostyushkin denied the rumors, explaining that the decision was mutual and thoughtful. After the collapse of the duo, communication between colleagues also ceased.

Stas planned a solo career, but life decided it in its own way: a group called "Stanley Schulman's Band" appeared. So Kostyushkin paid tribute to his grandfather, the military journalist Joseph Shulman. In 2012, the musician presented a new project - the pop group "A-Dessa". The idea came from a friend, Yegor Druzhinin, who noticed that "Stanley", of course, is not bad, but these are covers, and it's time for Stas to do something of his own. In a short time the team broke into the Russian charts with the songs “Fire”, “Woman, I don’t dance!”, “I am not very karaochen”. The images created by the soloist are eccentric and outrageous.

The artist took part in the television shows “Just the same” and “Circus with the Stars”, “Laughter in the Big City” and “Star + Star”, “Dancing with the Stars” and “Big Races”. He also showed himself as a film actor. And in 2016, a new page appeared in the biography of Kostyushkin: the singer tried his hand as a TV presenter on the Muz-TV channel.

In the St. Petersburg theater "Through the Looking Glass", Stas met the pianist Marianna and "took" her away from the family. In a five-year marriage, children did not appear. The performer created "Tea for Two", among other things, in order to prove his own worth to his wife, and she cheated while Kostyushkin was on tour. Divorce followed.

The second wife Olga gave the singer a son, Martin. But personal life did not work out this time, after 3 years the couple broke up. The musician met Yulia Klokova, who replaced Olga, who had gone on maternity leave, as a dancer.

Besides music, Kostyushkin is in business. In 2013, he opened a cafe on the territory of Sheremetyevo airport, which allowed smoking. The Smoke Room thrived before the introduction of the No-Smoking Public Area Law. Losses amounted to about 4 million rubles, but this failure did not stop Stas.

Two years later, a chain of cafes-pyshka "Pyshka da pudra" appeared, which the artist owned together with his childhood friend, the Israeli restaurateur Boris Kopylov. The franchise was soon acquired by Lera Kudryavtseva. Then Kostyushkin organized the production of tea "My Tea". The singer speaks of himself as a born merchant.
