"Somewere I Belong" - Chapter One

The Story

small picture frames and doll hats. But then they didn't care much. They boldly expressed themselves and indulged in their creative impulses. They painted fabulous landscapes and creatures born of their strangest notions and dreams. Sometimes they were convinced that these images were quite real in an invisible, parallel world and appeared to them in the form of drawings. And again they began to cross the universe of their imagination with thought… With their ball gowns they managed to attract a lot of attention and various reactions. Alina looked like a rainbow princess in her yellow dress adorned with purple tulle and intertwined painted moons and shooting stars. She had attached a green decorative cap to her hive-shaped purple hair. Her green eyes glowed with multicolored makeup, and three silver stars shone on her left cheek. Avo, he wore a gold suit with a frag lined with fine shiny threads, an exquisite silver vest with buttons of black gemstone, and a carp hat topped with dice. They looked like strange travelers between worlds who happened to be here. As they talked, laughing and dancing, Avo noticed a huge rabbit with gleaming black eyes sneaking out into the garden. The boy frowned and blinked in confusion. -What's wrong - Alina asked him - I saw something quite strange. There is a rabbit with a garden…. -What's so weird about that? "I don't know," the boy muttered, looking out, "he didn't look like an ordinary rabbit. In the garden, the rabbit reappeared among the bushes and after a while hid, peering timidly." Avo watched in shock and found that he was indeed much larger than he should have been, standing on two legs, he waves a paw and in the other he holds an antique clock with a lid. Avo stopped dancing, let go of Alina's hand, and walked to the garden door, still visibly confused. The others watched him with a slight sneer. -You should see it too, come ... -he turned to his lady and she listened to him. They both went out and went to the nearby bushes and the beautifully blossoming fruit trees. They listened and looked around intently. Nothing. Complete silence. -I swear, I saw him, he was here a minute ago. -You may have had a vision, a little too much with champagne… At that moment, however, the bush next to them moved and there was a ticking, which slowly receded and passed into an echo drifting from the back of the garden. "Let's follow him," Avo said without hesitation. "I'm telling you, you may have had a vision." And look at the sky, it will probably rain in a while. Let's go home. -What will we lose if we check if I'm right? I don't make it up - believe me. Alina argued with him for a while and finally bowed. He knew that their dreamy spirit and imagination often crossed boundaries, but who exactly defined these things? The cowards of the extraordinary or the great realists? Who could impose limits on them? Only themselves. Reaching this conclusion, the girl went with Avo to look for the famous rabbit. On the way to the other side of the garden, however, a strong wind blew and the clouds darkened. A storm and a torrent were approaching, but that didn't bother them. As they rushed forward, they walked around with curiosity and excitement, looking around. As soon as they came across something like this at their prom, it obviously had to happen. The dancing in the hall could wait. Unfortunately, the wind picked up before Avo held on to his cylinder, he floated up a few feet above him. Together with Alina, the boy rushed forward in horror. They ran as fast as they could, but in vain. The cylinder flew headlong, and at one point it went beyond the garden, past a huge lone tree in the middle of the field, and disappeared. Panting, the young men reached the fence at the end of the garden and stopped. "Phew, don't let him see," Avo said angrily, "what bad luck." As she wailed and complained, Alina looked through the blue fence and saw a white rabbit running through the field toward the bare tree. -Look! She pointed, and they both stood on tiptoe to see better. -I told you! - Avo shouted madly - we have to jump the fence, follow him and find my hat! -How are we going to leave our own ball ??? Just like that… -I want my hat and find out what's going on. It's madness, but that's what we wanted? Novelty and a truly extraordinary experience. We've always dreamed of that, "Avo said with flames in his eyes, ready to climb the fence." You're right, yes. Hell ball… let's go. Beyond the fence and fear. Beyond everything. The two deftly jumped over the fence and pounded on the soft field grass. And without looking back and thinking about everything known so far, they ran after the white rabbit whose clock was still ticking tirelessly…
