Sofia Rotaru is a singer, a show business star, who even today surprises fans with new masterpieces and regular concerts. Rotaru Sofia Mikhailovna is Ukrainian by nationality with Moldovan roots. Born on August 7, 1947 in the village of Marshintsy, Chernivtsi region, Ukrainian SSR. In 1968, Rotaru married Evdokimenko, went with him to Novosibirsk, where he was supposed to undergo student practice. There she worked as a teacher and, together with her husband, performed at the local club "Rest". After 2 years, a son Ruslan appeared in their young family.
