Hello! I am very desperate .. I started taking birth control pills because I have ovarian cysts, and 3 months before I started taking them, I got terrible acne. My whole face was strewn with pimples, wounds and scars. Every unpicked and picky pimple leaves red spots on my face. The pills I take, I do not understand why they do not help me, given that I took them for 3 years and cleared my skin and my hair was not greasy for 4-5 days, I stopped them for a break of 6 months and now since again I started (6 months), my skin can't calm down. With each passing month, acne seems to get worse, my skin is dry, flaky, but it is also dotted with pimples, every black spot becomes inflamed, there are pimples under the skin. I talked to the gynecologist and he has no explanation, for him it is strange what happens to me even more that so far I have not had a problem with my pills.

For a dermatological problem it is good to consult a dermatologist. Explain what medications you have taken, what doses and for how long and it will help you. And for the rest, did you consult a doctor? Contraceptives are not a medicine for everyday use. There are other ways as far as I know at least. However, these drugs are very strong and it is not good to take them for so long. They also reduce hormones and anything that could be a problem. If the cysts are so bad, remove them. It's not so scary if you find the right doctor.
