Sevara is an Uzbek singer, composer, whose repertoire includes many folk and pop musical compositions.

Sevara Nazarkhan was born in December 1976 in Uzbekistan, in the provincial town of Asaka. The girl grew up in a creative family, Uzbeks by nationality. The performer reached a new, already world level thanks to her participation in the ethno-festival "Womad", where she met Peter Gabriel, a famous musician from England. Together they recorded a new album in London called "Yol Bolsin" (Bon voyage). The work was produced by Hector Zazu.

The success was incredible. The European public has discovered a new star from the east. Sevara made her first tour. She has performed at prestigious venues in Western Europe, America and Canada. Later, the performer went on tour to Russia and China.

2006 and 2007 Sevara Nazarkhan marked the release of two more albums - "Bu Sevgi" and "Sen". The compositions recorded on these discs are folk music in pop performance. In 2010, Nazarkhan makes a new gift to his fans: an album entitled "So Easy" is released. It consists of Russian-language songs. After the release of the disc, Sevara is more and more recognized in Russia, where she now often tours.

In 2011, a new album called "Tortadur" was released. Unlike the previous, Russian-language, this year's album was a collection of Uzbek songs, moreover, classical folk. The popularity of Sevara allowed attracting a number of professional instrumentalists to work on the musical part, and the recording itself was made in the studio of the Uzbek State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company. The album was mixed already in London, at Abbey Road Studios.

2013 played an important role for the popularity of Sevara in Russia and neighboring countries. The singer gave major solo concerts during a tour of more than 30 cities in Russia and the CIS countries. In the same year, the Mystery Records record company republished the collection of Russian-language songs by Sevara “So Easy”. The second edition includes a bonus track - the song "There is no me". The music for this composition was written by Igor Nikolaev. A year later, Sevara shot a video for the same song with the same name.

At the end of the year, on November 30, the singer gave two concerts at the Moscow International House of Music, which were sold out. During these events, Sevara presented the album Letters, which again contained Russian-language compositions.

The Uzbek singer is known for her love of singing a duet with rockers. As she herself admits, she likes to work with people with character, charisma and a bright personality. Sevara has already sung with Boris Grebenshchikov and dreams of a joint recording with Garik Sukachev.

In 2013, the artist's discography was replenished with another work - the album Maria Magdalena. Soon the Georgian song "Grape seed", which was performed by Bulat Okudzhava, appeared in the singer's repertoire. This musical composition was presented by Sevara at a festive concert dedicated to the Day of the RF Security Service Worker.

February 2014 was the next significant point in the singer's career. Her song "Victory (Sochi 2014)" was included in the official collection of musical compositions of the Olympics "Hits of the Olympic Games Sochi 2014 II".

At the audition for the Voice, Sevara performed the hit Je T`aime. Only Alexander Gradsky did not turn to the singer, because he knew who was singing on stage. All other members of the jury wanted to take the singer under their wing. Bilan, Pelageya and Agutin were ready to "fight" for her, but Sevara gave preference to Leonid Agutin.

She especially fought for a new participant, Pelageya, expressing admiration for the singer's skill. Sevara herself refused this offer, believing that it would be dishonest and such an attitude towards her work would not leave her an opportunity for a real musical competition. But Pelageya's desire to sing a duet turned out to be mutual - Sevara spoke about this more than once in an interview, and a little later Sevara and Pelageya sang several songs in Uzbek together.

Sevara won in the second round of the show, which was called "The Duel". Leonid Agutin gave preference to her, and not to the second participant - Sofia Avazashvili. In the third stage, perhaps the most controversial moment occurred in all seasons of the popular show. Sevara performed the song "There is no me". With this composition, the singer won the hearts of the audience and the jury. Even most of the opponents admitted that this performance was "unreal" and one of the strongest.

Alexander Gradsky admitted with admiration that Sevara's voice was something beyond his understanding. But then a bolt from the blue thundered: Leonid Agutin gave preference to the young contestant Artem Kacharyan.

This decision of Agutin shocked the whole country. Even those who supported the other participants did not understand him. The superiority of Sevara Nazarkhan was obvious.

The singer painfully took the unfair verdict, but did not break down. Today the brightest stars of the national show business can envy the tour schedule of Nazarkhan.
