Sergey Veksler

Sergey Veksler is a Ukrainian and Russian film and theater actor. Until the early 2000s, the artist was better known in theatrical circles. Moreover, Sergey worked on stage both as an actor and as a plastic director. But then there was a rapid breakthrough in cinematography, and today it is already difficult to find a spectator in the post-Soviet space who would not have known this talented person.

Sergey Meilekhovich Veksler was born in the Ukrainian city of Vinnitsa into a sports family in May 1961. The sonorous surname has always raised questions about the nationality of Sergei Meilekhovich. Both fans and detractors assume that the artist is a Jew, but he did not comment on this or comment on the assumption.

The parents of the future actor were masters of sports in gymnastics. At first, Sergei himself was engaged in several sports at once: he swam, was fond of rowing and rhythmic gymnastics, but gave priority to judo. This was repeated three times, with a break for military service, and in 1982 Veksler became a student at the legendary Moscow Art Theater School. He studied acting under the strict guidance of Oleg Efremov and Andrey Myagkov. Nikita Vysotsky and Natalya Negoda were his classmates. In the first years, Alexander Lazarev, the younger, Vladimir Mashkov, studied with him.

In 1986, immediately after graduating from a theatrical university, Sergei Veksler began service at the Moscow Art Theater named after A.P. Chekhov. The young man appeared on this stage for 4 years. Then he became a "free artist" and today he collaborates with many metropolitan theaters.

In the comedy series, Sergei Veksler played the role of the oligarch Andrei Nikolaevich Diaghilev. In this role, the actor appeared in the 5th and 6th seasons of the series. According to the plot, his character is the father of Nikita (Philip Bledny), a waiter of the Victor restaurant, who is one of the main characters.

In 2017, Sergei Veksler returned to the role of Andrei Diaghilev in the second season of the sitcom Hotel Eleon. The new series is a spin-off and at the same time a continuation of the ended series "Kitchen".

As a graduate of a theater university, Sergei experienced the first vivid feeling - he fell in love with Irina Apeksimova, a first-year student. Sergey Veksler met his future wife by chance. They met at a party with mutual friends in the winter of 1991. The guy immediately noticed the beautiful ballerina Yulia Sadovskaya.
