Sergei Strelnikov is a Ukrainian theater and film actor who became famous for playing the role of Vasily Chapaev in the biographical film "The Passion for Chapay", and also starred in the popular television series "Tryukach", "Vladimirskaya, 15", "Guardian Angel".

Sergey was born in the Tambov region, in the village of Dmitrievka. The boy's father was from Kaluga, his mother was from Western Ukraine. They met while studying at a medical institute. Parents raised two more children - brother and sister Seryozha. When the future actor was two years old, his father was offered the position of a psychiatrist in the Kiev region, and the family moved to the village of Stavishche, then to the neighboring village of Zhuravlikha. After the Chernobyl disaster, the Strelnikovs again changed their registration and moved to the Rivne region. In his youth, Sergei planned to follow in his father's footsteps, but chemistry was given to Strelnikov with difficulty, so the high school student left this venture.

After graduating from school in 1996, Sergey Strelnikov went to the capital of Ukraine and entered the Kiev Regional School of Culture and Arts, where he studied at the faculty of directing mass productions.
