Sergey Vladimirovich Skolsky is a Russian powerlifter and bodybuilder, champion of Russia (2014), European champion (2017), Master of Sports, and also the holder of the world record among young men in squatting with a barbell in equipment.

Sergey was born on October 6, 1995 in Yoshkar-Ola. He grew up in a complete family - the boy was raised by his mother and father. His mother, Skolskaya Irina Ilinichna, and his father, Skolsky Vladimir Yaroslavovich, are the owners of their own business, individual entrepreneurs.

The boy is the only child in the family, so he received a lot of attention from his parents. From the earliest years, such qualities as hard work, perseverance, determination were brought up in Sergei. Mom tried to instill in him conscientiousness, openness, respect for others. Already after a year of training, Sergei fulfilled the standard of the Candidate for Master of Sports, for which he was grateful to his first coach for his involvement in this event. Two years later, Skolsky, when he was 18 years old, fulfilled the standard of Master of Sports, and also set a world record among youths in squatting with a barbell in equipment at the Russian Championship in Moscow - 345 kg.

Before leaving school, the athlete took part in the Yoshkar-Ola championship and the championship of the Republic of Mari El, where he took first and second places, respectively. After receiving secondary education, Sergei enters the St. Petersburg State Technological Institute (SPbSTI) and moves directly to the northern capital of Russia.

In parallel, he continued to train, performed at major regional competitions and prepared for the European Championship. There he won "gold" in the overall standings in powerlifting in juniors and men at the same time.

Preparing for the World Cup, Skolsky received a shoulder injury (rupture of the front delta beam), after which he had to take a forced break in his sports career. After recovering, the athlete decided to try himself in bodybuilding and took part in the Northwest Championship in bodybuilding and fitness, where he immediately took first place in the category up to 90 kg. After such a "comeback" to professional sports, Sergei announced his return to powerlifting, where he continues to perform at the international and regional levels.

To date, little is known about the personal life of Skolsky Sergey, although he regularly shares events from his life on Instagram. It is officially known that the athlete was not registered in marriage and has no children.
