After graduating from 10 classes, Sergei Shnyrev enters the Institute of Geodesy, Aerial Photography and Cartography at the Faculty of Space Geodesy, as his parents insisted. But secretly he also applied to several theater universities. As a result, the young man began to study at the Moscow Art Theater School on the course of Avant-garde Leontyev. Together with Sergey, Dmitry Shcherbina, Anastasia Zavorotnyuk, Maxim Drozd studied on the same course. After such success, Sergey became in demand. The actor received offers - from Nikita Mikhalkov to star in his new film "The Barber of Siberia" and from the USA to try his hand at Hollywood. Shnyrev chose the second option and played the main character in the psychological drama "The Silent".

Sergei recalls his work in America as a completely new stage in his life, since the approach to creativity among foreign directors and actors is very different. For example, many hours of daily rehearsals before the start of active filming. It was also unusual that Shnyrev was not invited to play the role of a Russian emigrant, as is most often the case in such cases.
