Childhood and youth

Sergey Shakurov was born on the first day of the new 1942, at the height of the Great Patriotic War, in the center of Moscow, on the Arbat. His parents, Kayum and Olga Shakurov, worked together at a research institute. Also, Sergei's father, Kayum Taffitovich, a Tatar by nationality, was a famous hunter in the capital. He kept a kennel for 16 dogs and devoted his free time to his hobby. Therefore, the boy's mother Olga Sergeevna and the older brothers and sister of the future screen star were engaged in raising the boy. The difference between the youngest Serezha and other children in the family was 10 years or more.

Sergey Shakurov grew up a cocky guy. He often took part in wall-to-wall street fights in the Arbat. At the age of 10, the future artist became seriously interested in sports and enrolled in the sports acrobatics section. Persistent studies, patience and perseverance allowed Sergey to receive the title of master of sports by the age of 18. And in his youth, the future artist even managed to win the title of champion of Moscow. In the 7th grade, the student began attending the drama club led by Valentin Zakhoda, a former artist of the troupe of the Central Children's Theater.

When the time came to decide on future prospects, Sergei, despite all the coaches' persuasions, sacrificed his sports career for the stage. It is noteworthy that he never received a school certificate. Not wanting to waste time and finish his studies at a comprehensive school, in 1961 Shakurov entered the studio at the Central Children's Theater. The recommendation to enter the Central Children's Theater was given to him by the playwright Viktor Rozov, who discovered in the young man a considerable acting talent.

Theater

After graduating from the studio school, Sergei served for a year in the troupe of the theater on Malaya Bronnaya. Then director Leonid Kheifets invited the young actor to the Central Academic Theater of the Soviet Army. After the play “Two Comrades” was closed and Kheifets was forced to leave, Shakurov followed him, hoping that the Maly Theater would recruit their creative tandem. But the calculations of the actor did not come true, and he was left without work.

Only in 1971, after a 3-year hiatus, Shakurov was accepted into the troupe of the Konstantin Stanislavsky Drama Theater. Here the actor served for 16 years. His most notable works during this period were his roles in the performances "Masquerade" based on the work of the same name by Mikhail Lermontov and "Cyrano de Bergerac", which became a legend in the theatrical world.

Today Sergei Shakurov serves in the Moscow Youth Theater. Over the years, he took part in productions of the Moscow Art Theater, Sovremennik and the Contemporary Theater of Entreprise.

Often Sergei Kayumovich can be seen in entreprise productions. So, in 2013 the play "Bad Habits" was staged, in which Igor Ugolnikov and Daniil Spivakovsky became Shakurov's stage partners.

Movies

The first work of the actor in the cinema was the role of the stubborn recruit Peganov, the main character of the feature film "I am a soldier, mother" by the Greek-Soviet director Manos Zacharias. It was released in 1966. This picture begins the creative biography of Sergei Shakurov.

The fame of the popular idol came to the artist after 8 years and 10 films, along with the role of squadron commander Andrei Zabelin in the masterpiece of Russian cinema "One among strangers, a stranger among friends" directed by Nikita Mikhalkov.

5 years later, Sergei Shakurov was awarded the State Prize of the RSFSR for the main role in the film story "Taste of Bread" by Alexei Sakharov. The film was released simultaneously with the publication of Leonid Brezhnev's book "Virgin Lands" and, due to its "virgin land" orientation, was considered by many as a kind of illustration to the work of the General Secretary of the CPSU Central Committee.

Sergei Shakurov himself singles out the famous comedy melodrama "The beloved woman of mechanic Gavrilov" by Pyotr Todorovsky, in which he played the beloved heroine Lyudmila Gurchenko, among numerous cinematic works. It is noteworthy that Vladimir Vysotsky also auditioned for this role. By the way, in 1971 the actors were supposed to act together in the film "Sannikov Land", but Vysotsky was removed from the role at the last moment.

In the 80s, the actor created an extensive collection of film images, among which are the leading roles in the films "Portrait of the Artist's Wife", "Who Knocks at My Door ...", "Statute of limitations", "Parade of the Planets". Actors, scientists, artists, workers became the heroes of Sergei Shakurov. In the middle of the decade, Sergei Kayumovich starred in the political thriller "Traces of a Werewolf", as well as in the popular detective story "Visit to the Minotaur", where he appeared in the role of investigator and foreman Antonio Stradivari.

According to the actor, he was always interested in contradictory, dramatic, broad images. Shakurov introduced a series of such characters to the audience in the 90s. His filmography was supplemented by works in the drama "Decay", the tragicomedy "Suicide", the eccentric melodrama "God's Creature". In the film "Dog Feast" Sergei Kayumovich appeared in an acting ensemble with Natalia Gundareva and Larisa Udovichenko.

A historical milestone in the biography of Sergei Shakurov was the role of Prince Menshikov in Svetlana Druzhinina's series "Secrets of Palace Revolutions". Filming continued for 5 years in interiors that fully correspond to historical reality: the halls of the palaces in Kuskovo, Pushkino and Oranienbaum. During the work on the project, movie stars Nikolai Karachentsov, Inna Churikova, Vladimir Ilyin, Alexey Zharkov and Natalya Egorova became Shakurov's partners on the stage.

In 2005, viewers saw their favorite artist in the historical biography film "Brezhnev" by Sergei Snezhkin, in which Sergei Shakurov reincarnated as the general secretary.

This series was a Channel One project, so the casting for the role of General Secretary was tough. Two dozen artists auditioned for it, including Bogdan Stupka, Yuri Stoyanov and Rodion Nakhapetov. But even the lack of the necessary growth (for the actor's work, special 5-centimeter cobbles were created) did not prevent Sergey Kayumovich from creating an image that was powerful in strength and charisma.

Konstantin Ernst personally approved Shakurov for the role. The actor justified the trust and in the role of Brezhnev was very convincing. The artist managed not only to accurately recreate the external image of the hero, but also to convey the character's internal drama, without slipping into a parody.

Until now, viewers are surprised by the similarity of Shakurov in makeup with a photo of an elderly general secretary. Moreover, according to the actor, only “branded” Brezhnev eyebrows were needed. For this role, Sergei Shakurov received the TEFI Prize in 2005. In the film, Sergei Kayumovich played Leonid Ilyich at his mature age, and the role of the young Brezhnev went to Sergei Dolinsky.

Soon several notable projects with his participation appeared. In 2007, the historical drama Paragraph 78 was released, in which the artist played a member of the Military Tribunal. In the "fresh" adaptation of Mikhail Bulgakov's novel "The White Guard" directed by Sergei Snezhkin, Sergei Shakurov reincarnated as Hetman Skoropadsky.

The historical drama was released in 2011 and was warmly received by audiences and film critics. In the same year, the actor starred in the project “Vysotsky. Thank you for being alive ”, playing the role of the father of the great bard. Soon, Shakurov's repertoire was replenished with works in the TV series "After School", "Love for Love", "Grandfather 005".

In 2015 - again a historical project, this time about Catherine II. The series "Great" scored high ratings. Sergei Shakurov here reincarnated as Alexei Petrovich Bestuzhev-Ryumin.

And in 2016, fans of the artist's talent welcomed new films with his participation. These are the detective series "Investigator Tikhonov", the historical drama "Mutiny" and the disaster film "The Crew" by Nikolai Lebedev.

In 2017, Sergey Shakurov turned 75 years old. But the artist is still active and in demand both in the theater and in the cinema.

In addition to acting talent, Sergei Kayumovich has one more - musical. The songs performed by the actor could be heard on Victory Day 2005, at a concert that took place on Red Square. Sergei Shakurov sang the well-known composition "From the heroes of the old days" soulfully. In 2012, the touching composition "Fascinates" by Igor Nikolaev appeared, performed by Sergei Shakurov, for which a video was shot.

The artist is known for sharp statements and does not always hold back when he is, as they say, "boiling." So, in 2012, he spoke quite sharply about the Russian national football team, criticizing the athletes for a sluggish and mediocre game.

Personal life

The personal life of Sergei Shakurov has been actively discussed in the press more than once. Sergey Kayumovich was married three times. Rumor has it that he had an affair with Larisa Guzeeva. He recommended the young beauty Eldar Ryazanova for her starring role in Cruel Romance. But the girl allegedly preferred Nikita Mikhalkov to him. However, there is no confirmation of these rumors.

Shakurov's first wife, Natalya Oleneva, studied with him at a studio school at the Central Children's Theater. Son Ivan, born in this marriage, made a career as a photographer and gave his father three grandchildren: Elena, Maria and Ivan.

For the second time, the actor married a young colleague Tatyana Kochemasova, whom he met in 1984 during the filming of the film "Parade of the Planets". After 2 years, the couple had a daughter, Olga, in whose family two children are already growing up - Mikhail and Anastasia. But this marriage also fell apart. Divorce Sergei Shakurov went through hard. He even ended up in the hospital.

Today, the actor, beloved by millions, is happy again. He married theater producer Ekaterina Babalova. The third wife is Armenian by nationality, 30 years younger than the actor. In 2004, she gave her husband a son, who was named Marat.

The youngest son Sergei Kayumovich is trying to instill a craving for a healthy lifestyle and a love of creativity. Together with Marat, the actor sings the familiar song repertoire every morning, in his free time he visits the pool.

Sergei Shakurov dislikes communication with the press, and considers the media as an enemy of the creative process, therefore the actor does not have a personal profile on Instagram or other social networks.

fact

Sergey Shakurov now

The artist himself calls the theatrical stage his main vocation. On cinema, according to Sergei Kayumovich, he spends less effort and energy, perceiving filming in film projects as his hobby. Nevertheless, Shakurov's characters turn into vivid and distinctive images that excite the imagination of the audience. The actor is used to doing his work with high quality, so he often refuses projects that he considers second-rate.

In 2017, Sergei Kayumovich played a minor character in the crime series Torgsin, where Alexandra Bortich, Grigory Antipenko, Alexander Nosik, Sergei Gorobchenko, Ekaterina Klimova also starred.

In 2018, Shakurov appeared in the main cast of the melodramatic series "Birch" about the everyday life of the popular Soviet dance ensemble. Now the actor is working on the role of Krushevsky Sr. in the drama "Mutiny". The time of the painting is the 20s of the XX century. Against the backdrop of the Civil War, a story of love and hatred, loyalty and betrayal unfolds. The main characters on the screen will be represented by Lyubov Aksyonova, Yuri Chursin, Alexey Bardukov.

In the fall of 2018, the actor appeared in the project of the STS channel "Molodezhka". In the 6th season, Shakurov played the role of the main candidate for the coach of the VHL "Metalist" hockey club.
