Biography

The master of bard song Sergei Nikitin became famous as the founder and member of the Nikitin creative duet, in which the Honored Art Worker of Russia, together with his wife Tatyana, has been singing since 1967. Sergey Yakovlevich Nikitin was born on International Women's Day on March 8, 1944 in the city of great opportunities - Moscow.

The father of the songwriter Yakov Grigorievich was a military man, and his mother Vera Sergeevna was engaged in raising children (the artist has older sisters Mila and Klara) and maintaining an atmosphere in the house that her husband would like to return to after business trips. Even in his school years, the illusory world of sounds captivated Sergei. Without anyone's help, he mastered musical notation and learned to play the seven-stringed guitar (later replaced by the six-stringed).

Already at the age of eighteen Nikitin, inspired by the work of Bulat Okudzhava, decided to write songs based on the verses of his favorite poets. Despite his pronounced musical abilities, after receiving a certificate of secondary education, in 1962, Sergei became a student at the physics department of the Moscow State University named after Mikhail Vasilyevich Lomonosov.

At that time, both boys and girls preferred the cutting edge of scientific achievement to creative self-realization. According to the bard, as a teenager, he thought to follow the example of one of the sisters and enter the Moscow Aviation Institute.

Since the exams at Moscow State University were a month earlier, Sergei opted for this particular educational institution. Already at the preparatory courses Nikitin realized that he was not mistaken with the choice of the faculty. Then the equation of body movement discovered by him during the preparation for the entrance exams made an indelible impression on the active young man.

In the year when the future eminent composer caught the eye of Abraham Mol's book "Information Theory and Aesthetic Perception", the guy realized that two areas of interest to him - science and music - can be combined together. This is what Sergei did in his thesis "The role of the temporal envelope in the process of sound propagation."

After graduating from the university in 1968, the graduate from 1971 to 1980 was a research assistant at the Institute of Organic Chemistry, and from 1980 to 1987 he worked in the Laboratory of Physical Biochemistry at the Institute of Biological Physics.

Music

During his student days, Nikitin organized and then headed popular performing groups. The first project was a men's quartet consisting of Sergei Yakovlevich Nikitin, Sergei Alexandrovich Smirnov, Boris Samuilovich Geller and Alexei Monakhov (later Alexei Monakhov was replaced by Vadim Davidovich Khait).

The quartet's repertoire, in addition to student folklore and songs of faculty authors (the hallmark of the musicians was the song "Winter's Tale" written by the physicist Sergei Krylov), also included songs by Yuli Kim, Alexander Gorodnitsky and Alexander Dulov. The quintet created later sang classical pieces.

It was in the performance of the Nikitinsky quintet that music lovers heard and fell in love with "Sentimental March" (poems by Bulat Okudzhava), "I love you, my rains" (poems by Vadim Egorov), "When I came to this earth" (poems by Nicholas Guillen and Gennady Khristoforov) and also "Amazon" (poems by Rudyard Kipling), "Horses in the Ocean" (poems by Boris Slutsky), "Smugglers" (poems by Eduard Bagritsky).

In 1972, the quintet became a laureate of the 3rd International Political Song Festival in Berlin. When the collective ceased to exist in 1970 for technical reasons, Sergei and Tatiana continued to sing together. The musical union of like-minded like-minded people turned out to be very fruitful.

During their creative career, Nikitins have repeatedly become laureates of festivals of author's songs, were permanent members of the jury of the Grushinsky festival and actively toured the country and the world. For a long time, the couple combined creative and scientific activities. Only in the early 90s did they decide to devote themselves entirely to music. In 1997, the artists were presented with one of the most honorable awards in the poetic world of Russia - the Tsarskoye Selo Art Prize.

In the performance of this amazing duet, more than fifteen records and CDs were recorded with songs like Sergei Nikitin himself ("To the music of Vivaldi", "Favorites", "Big secret for a small company", "Golden Brich-Mulla", "Field of Miracles "," Times do not choose ") and friends-bards (" Sentinels of love "," Our conversation "," This is what happens to me "). The audience also liked their children's album based on the poems of Yunna Moritz.

To this day, both young and old sing these songs with pleasure. It should be noted that Sergei Yakovlevich never spared time and effort to work with children. Bard even now arranges for the younger generation "Nikitinskie meetings", at which the guys, together with their dads and mothers, listen to hits of the past ("Alexandra", "The dog happens to bite", "When we were young", "Dialogue at the New Year tree" this is what is happening by me ”), resting in body and soul.

Among other things, it is known that Nikitin was often attracted to work in the cinema. In 1974, the film "Sea Gate" was released on TV screens, for which Sergei, in collaboration with Viktor Berkovsky and Yuri Vizbor, wrote a couple of compositions.

The participants were connected by close friendship, which naturally continued in the creative field. Later, the comrades wrote music for performances (1976 - "Mary Poppins", 1979 - "Ali Baba and 40 songs of the Persian bazaar"), and radio shows (1977 - "The Big Doctor's Tale"), and even for documentaries paintings ("Murmansk-198", "To the Pole", "Earth, we fly away for a long time")

Personal life

The singer met his first and only wife during his student years. Tatyana Khashimovna fell in love with Sergei at the time of their first meeting. It happened at a concert organized by Nikitin's quintet for freshmen.

The physics student playing the guitar was in great demand among the weak half of humanity. Love notes with requests for dates and gifts were often left in his room. There is a known case when one of the fans knitted a sweater for the musician, which he, despite the feelings that arose between him and Tatiana, gladly accepted.

Having learned that the beloved is showing off to friends a thing given to him by a stranger, Tanya stole a sweater, dismissed it and knitted a new one within a couple of days, returning the jacket to its place. Young people legalized their relationship in January 1968. And already in 1971, Tanya gave her husband the heir to Alexander.

Now Sergey is a happy grandfather. Together with his wife, every summer they visit their son in the USA, where the spouses take care of their grandchildren for 3 months. In 2008, the tabloids were full of headlines that the star couple were getting divorced. Having learned about the next gossip, the Nikitins publicly declared that the rumors about their separation were the idle inventions of restless journalists.
