Many considered him a great romantic.
Probably, this was the reason for the choice of profession: after the 9th grade, the guy went to the Industrial College, choosing the geological prospecting faculty. But after the first year, Sergei Mironov dropped out and went to Siberia. There he came to understand that without education he would not be able to take place in the profession. After demobilization, the young man decided not to return to the technical school, but to finish his studies in a ten-year evening school. Having received a certificate, he entered the Mining Institute.
In the second year, it seemed to the active and energetic Sergei Mironov that student life was too measured. Therefore, he transferred to an evening form of study and got a job as a geophysicist. At the same time, he was engaged in Komsomol work and was even elected deputy of the institute Komsomol organizer.
Having received a university degree, the young geologist went on a long expedition to Mongolia, where, together with a group of colleagues, he explored uranium deposits.
