Sergey Evgenievich Krutikov, whom fans of his talent remember as a singer and musician Mikhei, was born in December 1970 in the small village of Khanzhenkovo ​​near Donetsk. There he went to school. Then the Krutikovs moved to Donetsk.

It was difficult to call Sergei a diligent student. The guy was too restless and loved sports more than sitting at textbooks. Somehow young Krutikov fell into the hands of an old home accordion, dusty without work. The boy began to try to extract sounds from him. Then his mother took him to a music school, where his son studied for 2 years. The fidget could no longer stand it. Later Sergey independently mastered playing keyboards and drums.

The future musician Micah left educational institutions more than once in search of himself. In the 4th grade, the adults took him to their group, which performed at school evenings and dances. At the end of the 8th grade, Sergei decided to continue his musical education and chose the Rostov-on-Don music school for this.

But after a couple of months of classes in the rhythm section, Krutikov left the school and went to the metallurgical technical school. After 4 months, this educational institution was left behind. The technical school was replaced by a vocational school, where Sergei learned to cope with the programmed control of automatic lines. But learning remained in the background, because creativity was always in the first place.

Mikhei played with pleasure on the stage of the Donetsk Artyom Theater and improved his playing on various instruments. He also became seriously interested in break dance. In 1987, 17-year-old Sergei began visiting the Donetsk Youth Palace, where he met Vlad Valov, who taught fashionable dance to everyone free of charge. At that time, the Donetsk school won prizes at the All-Union Breakdance Festivals.

After graduating from college and receiving a diploma of an adjuster, Sergei Krutikov went to Leningrad, where he became a student at the Higher School of Culture. And again, active searches and the wind of change. A few months later, Krutikov dropped out of this university for another - the Leningrad University of the Humanities. There he met with fellow countrymen - Vlad Valov (SHEF), already familiar to him from the break dance school, as well as with Sergey Menyakin (Monya) and Igor Reznichenko (Maly).

A year before Micah moved to the University of the Humanities, the musical group "Bad Balance" was formed there. Its creators were Vlad Valov (SHEF) and Gleb Matveev (LA DJ) from Donetsk. Micah, Monya and Malaya, who entered the university, immediately joined the group. In 1990, the guys began recording their first album, which they called "Above the Law". The recording was made at the best professional studios in St. Petersburg. The album was released by the end of the same year.

In 1993 Mikhay, SHEF and DJ LA moved to Moscow, where they began recording their second album "Bad Balance", calling it "Raiders of Bad B." After recording at one of the best metropolitan studios "GALA Records" and the release of the disc, the group becomes very famous. Musicians are invited to perform on the stage of the popular Moscow club "Jump".

Concert and touring activities begin. The collective performs together with Bogdan Titomir. After the release of the second album "Bad Balance" Micah and the guys went to Germany.

Soon, the group got the opportunity to perform in famous clubs in Berlin along with famous European bands. For a year, starting from 1994, Russian musicians have traveled with their program to more than 120 European cities. In 1996, Micah and SHEFF traveled to Los Angeles, where they wrote and recorded one of the most popular compositions called "City Longing".

Its plot is the dull and gloomy Russian reality of the mid-90s. After these compositions and the video, shown on the central Russian channels, the group becomes mega-popular in its homeland. Soon the third studio album was released, titled "Purely PRO ...". Music critics started talking about the first quality Russian rap performed by Mikhei and "Bad Balance".

In 1998, a new album, "Jungle City", was released. It's a mix of classic hip-hop with melody. Two clips from the new disc are often broadcast on central TV and radio channels. And the next year, the collaboration between Mikhei and SHEFF ended. Krutikov begins a solo career. It was during this period that Sergei radically changed his image - he cut his long hair and took the stage name Micah.

The new group, founded by Micah, is called Jumanji. It was this name that came first to Sergei, who saw the film of the same name with Robin Williams. The group consists of only two people: Micah himself and bass player Bruce. The style of music performed is a mixture of a great variety of styles: hip-hop, acid jazz, funk, soul and delicate reggae. Sergei Krutikov lived with Anastasia Filchenko for several years. Micah's personal life was quite happy. According to the musician's friends, there was only one woman in it - Nastya. For 4 months after the stroke, she fought for Sergei's life, never leaving his hospital bed. The couple did not have time to legalize their relationship: their marriage was civil.

But the plans were disrupted by Micah's illness: in June he was diagnosed with a stroke. And after 4 months, when the musician was on the mend, there was a relapse. Sergei Krutikov died of acute heart failure in October 2002. He was buried at the Vagankovsky cemetery.

Since the year of Mikhei's death, Vlad Valov and former concert director Alexander Ovrutsky have organized annual evenings in memory of the musician.
