The musicians were not discouraged: Sergei Galanin and Alexander Aedonitsky, a former keyboardist of Rare Bird, created their own group called Gulliver. This project proved to be more successful. In the same year, the band's first magnetic album appeared, which included five songs. Musicians were again invited to festivals and concerts.

However, soon fate turned its back on Sergei Galanin. Loud fame played a bad role for the band: the group was mentioned on the air of the German radio station "Deutsche Welle" as a bright phenomenon of Russian rock. Because of this, "Gulliver" was put on the black list of the USSR Ministry of Culture. Despite this, the musicians continued to record songs, but due to creative differences, the collective ceased to exist in 1986.

After some time, a new group appeared on the musical horizon - "Brigade S", founded by Sergei Galanin and Garik Sukachev. This project also did not last long, although the composition "Thistle", recorded at that time, is still heard by fans of rock music.

Sergey Galanin decided to start a solo career. The result was the cult album "Dog Waltz", which included the compositions "Warm air from the roofs", "The war is over", "Good night". And in 1994, Sergei created the SerGa group. The name was chosen for a reason - firstly, these are the first letters of the musician's name and surname, and secondly, because of the earring that Sergey constantly wore in his ear, many friends called him that.

The debut of the collective took place the same year in Rostov-on-Don. Sergey Galanin went on the same stage with the groups "Alisa" and "Chaif".
