Sardar Azmoun

Iranian footballer Serdar Azmun is a talented athlete playing for the national team of his country and the Zenit club. It was at the age of 15 that football in Azmun's life moved to a more professional level. For two years he played for "Sepakhan" Isfahan, but could not advance further than the youth team. Yes, and according to Serdar himself, they treated him badly there, once the guy was not given a salary, and he had to return to his hometown.

Therefore, when at the age of 17 the general director of the Kazan club "Rubin" noticed him and offered cooperation, he agreed without hesitation and moved to Kazan with his parents. So the guy became the youngest Iranian footballer playing for the team of another country.

At first it was difficult for him in Russia, the young man missed his homeland, but literally after a couple of months he adapted and completely focused on football. He himself talked about this in an interview. For the first time he entered the field with a new line-up in the summer of 2013, then played against the Serbian Yagodina.

As a result, for 2 seasons spent in the team, he attended 32 games and scored 7 goals. True, he managed to finish the 2014/2015 season, closer to its end on loan the guy transferred to Rostov and by the end of the playing year managed to send 4 goals into the opponents' goal.

The lease agreement with Rostov was extended for a year, then for another season. In the aggregate years that Serdar spent there, he entered the field 77 times and scored 25 goals. Having left this club without permission, he returned to Rubin and began the 2017/2018 season with the same team, played 45 times in 2 years and brought the team 12 goals.

Azmun received his first call to the national team of Iran in 2013, made his debut against the national team of Montenegro six months later, however, it was only a friendly match. And a year later, the athlete was included in the application for the Asian Cup.

But in 2018, in his Instagram profile, Serdar said that he would no longer play for the national team, as criticism against him negatively affects the mother's health. However, in the fall of the same year, he went with the team to a training camp. And at the beginning of 2019, he managed to prove himself at the Asian Cup, where he scored a goal in the first match.

At the beginning of 2019, Azmun signed a contract with the St. Petersburg club "Zenith", where he plays at number 20. The contract was concluded for 3.5 years, the transfer of a footballer to a new team cost Zenit € 12 million. Serdar's debut on the field took place in February of the year, in the game against Fenerbahce.
