After parting with her husband, the author was left with three children - Carson, Russell and Colby. She continues to be creative and during this period creates one bestseller after another.

July 20, 2019 was happy for Sarah and her fans - on this day, Gio married Brandon Ebel, founder and producer of Tooth & Nail Records. They spent their honeymoon in Greece, from where they posted romantic photos on their Instagram pages.

Together with her husband, the writer hosts the podcast The Mod About You, where he talks with listeners about relationships and the vicissitudes of personal life.

Gio now continues to live in Washington and work on another piece.
