Biography
From an Irish father and an Indian mother, Rory Cochrane spent his childhood in England. On his return to the United States, he moved to New York where he continued his studies in drama at LaGuardia High School of Performing Arts.
In 1989, he appeared on the screen for the first time in a documentary on drugs. The same year, he made his film debut in A Kiss Before Dying (it appears 15 seconds on the screen). He then obtains a more substantial role in Fathers & Sons, that of Jeff Goldblum's son. In 1993, he was part of the Rebel Generation.
After several roles in many films, he was hired in 2002 to play Tim Speedle in the CSI: Miami series. Tired of all the scientific and medical terminology frequently used, he asks to be released from his contract after two years. CBS accepts and his character is killed! He embarked on new projects in the cinema and turned in 2006 alongside Keanu Reeves and Winona Ryder in A scanner darkly.
