Biography
Rob Bowman began his career in Hollywood in 1982 at Stephen J. Cannell Productions, where he was associate producer on the series Agence tout risk . He moved on to directing in 1986 on the Stingray series with Nick Mancuso. He then pursued a career in television, directing in particular for the series 21 Jump Street , Quantum Code , Mac Gyver , Alerte à Malibu or Parker Lewis never loses .
In 1993, after a little noticed first film in the cinema, the sports comedy Airborne, he directed his first episode of the series X-files ( Male-female). Seduced by his style, the creator of the series, Chris Carter, entrusts him with 31 episodes in total. Bowman then also became producer of the series in 1998, before Chris Carter chose him, the same year, to direct the feature film The X Files, the film, a cinematic continuity of the famous series. Anchored in the fantasy genre, he directed, in 2002, The Reign of Fire, a story of dragons set in an apocalyptic future. In 2003, Avi Arad, producer of Spider-Man 2, offered him orders for Elektra. A character that Jennifer Garner endorses again after her appearance in Daredevil.
