The legend of the last decade of Soviet football, Rinat Dasaev, rose to fame at the age of 23 and did not leave it for many years. The young goalkeeper won his first title, playing for the youth team of Volgar. At the zonal stage of the Soviet championship in Novorossiysk, the 16-year-old football player was awarded the title of the best goalkeeper of the tournament. Two years later, the junior was invited to play for the senior squad of the Astrakhan team, since the main goalkeeper Yuri Makov missed two matches for personal reasons.

Dasaev's debut took place on August 5, 1975 in Grozny. Terek hosted Volgar players and defeated the Astrakhan team. Dasaev conceded two goals, and his teammates did not score a single goal.
