I am not optimistic about the future. How can I be optimistic after I die? : D Someone will say about the afterlife, but I do not see the meaning of such a life, not to mention the lack of evidence for such. I think positively and enjoy life. The difference is that negative thoughts drain your energy, and when you think positively, the bad goes away easily. However, happiness is mainly a psychological indicator. Yes, it definitely helps on a purely psychological level, and that's quite important.
