Petr Elfimov

Petr Elfimov is a Belarusian singer, a representative of Belarus at the international Eurovision 2009 contest, winner of five gold medals at the 2010 World Performing Arts Championship (USA), a participant in the second season of the Voice show and the second season of the Main Stage TV competition.

Petr Elfimov was born on February 15, 1980 in Mogilev. Peter's parents were musicians, so music from childhood occupied the main place in the life of the future artist. At the children's music school, Peter Elfimov studied in the trumpet class. He received further professional education at the Mogilev College of Music and Choreography, studying at the conductor-choral faculty.

During this period of his creative biography, Peter began his performances as a soloist of the studio "Double V" under the direction of Vasily Sinkov and Vasily Buinitsky. Numerous concerts in the cities of Belarus end with the first success - as part of this group, Peter becomes a laureate of the competition for young pop artists "Zornaya Rosstan-96". Not stopping at what has been achieved, the young artist continues to improve his professional qualities and, after graduating from the College of Music in 1998, proceeds to further study at the vocal faculty of the Belarusian State Academy of Music in Minsk. Having moved to the capital, the musician becomes a soloist in the Egoist group.

Since 1999, Peter Elfimov has been gaining fame as a player of the KVN team "RUDN". First, acting as part of the team of the Belarusian State University, then, having moved to the team of the Russian University of Peoples' Friendship, the young artist wins prestigious awards, including "Big KiViN in the dark" (for reaching 3rd place) and "Small KiViN in gold" ( for 4th position).

Today Peter is the absolute champion of the International KVN Union.

In August 2003, Pyotr Elfimov received an invitation to become a soloist of the Belarusian ensemble "Pesnyary" under the direction of Vyacheslav Sharapov. In 2004, Petr Elfimov left the Pesnyary lineup for a solo career and won the Grand Prix for participating in the international festival of arts “Slavyansky Bazar” in Vitebsk. Later, the artist becomes a permanent participant of this festival, performing in different years with the songs "Mama", "Call", "I only want to say". In 2006, the artist's first studio album "I Want" was released, and a year later the second disc, "Bells", appeared.

In 2009, Peter receives a master's degree from the Belarusian State Academy of Music and a diploma of higher education. In the same year, the release of the album "Happy New Birth" took place, as well as the premiere of the video for the song "My Soul". In September 2011, the artist was remembered by the audience for his performance in the Minsk-Arena, at an evening dedicated to the memory of the Lokomotiv hockey team that died in a plane crash.

In July 2010 in Los Angeles, Pyotr Elfimov participates in the World Championships of Performing Arts 2010 competition, where he performs in five nominations with vocal numbers: Lensky's aria from the opera Eugene Onegin, Child in time by Deep Purple , the aria of Jesus from the rock opera "Jesus Christ Superstar", as well as the songs "Enchanted" and "Somewhere in the night". The brilliant performance brings the artist five gold medals.

In 2012, Peter tried his hand at acting for the first time, starring in the Belarusian mini-series "Steal Belmondo" directed by Nikolai Knyazev.

In 2013, Elfimov took part in the main Russian vocal show "The Voice". At the blind auditions, the singer conquered the audience by performing the song "We flew through the windows."
