The Finnish punk rock band Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät was formed in 2004. Another milestone in development was the charity concert held in 2014 together with the Lordi group. The proceeds were donated to a community of people with intellectual disabilities in Mozambique and Lapland. The performance on the same stage with the winners of Eurovision-2006 brought the group to a qualitatively new level.

Today the group "Imeniny Pertti Kurikka" consists of guitarist and composer Pertti Kurikka. Besides guitar, Pertti also plays the organ, attends church and records audio books.

Vocalist and lyricist Kari Aalto, a school friend of Pertti, hosts his own radio show, loves motorcycles, women, alcohol and American cars.

Bassist Sami Helle spent his childhood in Boston, New York and Paris. Fluent in English. He takes an active civic position - Sami is a member of the Center Party of Finland, dreaming of one day becoming a member of parliament.

The band's youngest member, drummer Toni Välitalo, has been playing drums since the age of six. Besides punk rock, his favorite styles are mazurka and blues.

Concert manager Kalle Payamaa is unofficially listed as the fifth member of the band. Apart from his main activity, he also writes most of the arrangements for the band.
