Pavel Yevlakhov, also known by his stage name Pavel Chekhov, is a singer, musician and founder of the St. Petersburg group 4ekhov.

Pavel was born and raised in the Donetsk region, in the village of Konstantinovka. Pasha began to be interested in music during his school years, but then it was just a hobby, nothing more than a hobby.

After completing the last class, Pavel leaves for Rostov, where he studies at the Faculty of Analysis and Management of Economic Activities, at the local Institute of National Economy. And the first years of his career Yevlakhov built exclusively within the framework of the economy and trade: the young man worked as a sales manager, a sales agent, a marketing director and even created two of his own enterprises. The first of them - a wholesale warehouse of finished furniture - did not last too long, but the second - a private video studio - is still profitable for Pavel.

But in 2004, having reached a turning point in the life of a man, the so-called age of Christ, Yevlakhov decides to radically change his own life. It becomes unbearable for a musician to be engaged in a business that brings money, but not moral and spiritual pleasure. And then Pavel moved to St. Petersburg and began to record his own songs and music.

In the first period of his creative biography, the musician was in search of his own handwriting. Pavel has tried many styles, including even electronic sound. It was with this genre in mind that the Snegiri company offered Pavel the first official contract for the release of his debut album, but Yevlakhov refused, considering this a commercial path.

Instead, the singer creates his own project "4ekhov", a kind of creative association where Pavel's songs are performed by him and other musicians, including popular ones. The group, in addition to Pavel Yevlakhov, included instrumental musicians Alexei Yushkevich, Alexander Monroe, Evgeny Rinkevich, Dmitry Losev, Boris Istomin. The participants recorded musical material on several labels - FG "Nikitin", REAL Records and "Monolit".

Subsequently, the artist, already under the pseudonym Pavel Chekhov, collaborated with the stars - Sergei Zhukov from "Hands up!", Vyacheslav Butusov, the former vocalist of "Nautilus Pompilius", sang a duet with Leroy Masskva. Quite recently a joint song "Rhythms of Windows" was released, which Chekhov wrote and performed in tandem with another St. Petersburg musician - Vasya Oblomov.

The new project "4ekhov" gravitated more towards live sound, which turned out to be very popular with the public. Thanks to the collective manager Kirill Tikhonin, Pavel Chekhov performs at a concert of the popular Leningrad group and even goes on stage with Sergei Shnurov, and the singer's compositions are included in the rotation of Russian radio stations, including those in the capital.

The first big hit of the project was the song "Wounded by You", which Chekhov sang together with the musicians of the "Kartel" group. The musical composition got into the rotation of Radio Maximum, and the first concert was given by the 4ekh group at the Variety Theater.

And in 2005 the debut album "4ekhov: The Best" was released, which included the tracks written by Pavel in previous years. Sound producers from St. Petersburg Oleg Baranov, Andrei Samsonov, Andrei Gorsky, as well as the famous concert organizer Kirill Tikhonin, participated in the creation of the disc.

It is curious that at the beginning of their career, the 4ekhs group was quite often confused with the Chekhov Minsk collective, which was created by the Belarusian writer and TV presenter Vyacheslav Bondarenko. By the way, until now on some sites the songs of Belarusians are attributed to Pavel Chekhov, and vice versa.

After the success of the first disc, Pavel moved to Moscow and signed a contract with a major label. At the recording studio in the capital, Evlakhov is mixing songs for the second album, which, unfortunately, was never released due to some disagreement. Instead, Chekhov, with invited musicians Oleg Chubykin, Oleg Baranov and Alexander Badazhkov, at his own expense records the Pop Music CD, which was first presented to listeners on the Myspace server in December 2008.

The album was a success again, the song "In the Port" became a big hit, and six compositions from this disc were included in the soundtrack of the rating comedy series "Margosha". At the same time, Pavel Chekhov is working on a remix of the musical composition "Lena Smirnova", which the singer is recording with Sergei Zhukov. Together with Lera Masskva, he records the soundtrack for the film "Waiting for a Miracle".

After another 4 years, the album of the best things "11 songs" was released, but mainly the musician focused on the regular release of new video clips.

During the joint work of Pavel Yevlakhov with singer Valeria Gureeva, known under the pseudonym Lera Masskva, a spark of love ran between the young people. A romantic relationship began between the musicians, and in 2007 Pavel and Lera got married. The singer dedicated the song "Netsunami" to his wife and starred in the video for this hit with Leroy.

In October 2010, Valeria and Pavel became parents - the couple had a son, Platon. A year before the birth of the baby, Yevlakhov and Gureeva moved to a permanent place of residence in the United States, where they still live, coming to Russia only for work.
