Biography
Born in Canada, Patrick J. Adams decides to leave his native country following the divorce of his parents. He landed at the top of his 19 years in Los Angeles, where he entered the University of Southern California (USC), from which he graduated. In 2004, the aspiring actor won the Jack Nicholson Prize, which recognizes the best students in the school.
Patrick J. Adams first appeared in theaters in 2003 alongside Luke Wilson and Will Ferrell in Back to College, a box office success. A few years later, he landed the first role in the dramatic film Façade in which he played a depressed young man about to end his life.
Between shootings, he plays small roles in series like Cold Case, Jack and Bobby, Numbers, Lost or Pretty Little Liars. In 2008, Rob Thomas (the father of Veronica Mars) offers him the role of twin brothers in the series Good Behavior, which will not go beyond the stage of the pilot. The following year, he became one of the protagonists of The Dealership with William Devane and Tricia Helfer, whom he later found on the Suits set. It is the romantic comedy 6 Month Rule that allows him to change register and move away from the dramatic genre: he plays a musician who enters into a romantic rivalry with the main character, played by Blayne Weaver.
At the same time very active on stage, he participates in several plays. The actor thus received the Garland prize in 2012, for his performance in "9 Circles" . A true artist at heart, this enthusiast also devotes himself to photography.
Suits allows him to obtain, in 2011, international recognition and to come out of the shadows by becoming the co-star of the show alongside Gabriel Macht. He plays Mike Ross, a young man without a diploma who manages to get hired in a prestigious law firm. The spectator discovers business law through the bromance between his two heroes. Following his success, in 2014 NBC offered him a leading role in his mini-series Rosemary's baby.
