The Russian group "Otto Dix" is named after the German avant-garde artist, whose paintings were inspired by the creators of the musical group. At the end of the same year, a collaboration with the youth theater “Paradigm of Times” was formed - the group devotes a lot of time to staging a stage show.

The first three albums were recorded by the duo Michael Draw and Marie Slip. In 2007 violinist Pyotr Voronov joined the team and went on a concert tour-presentation of the album "Atomic Winter". The collaboration lasted until 2013. Drummer Paul Kristofferson began performing live in 2012. Later, guitarist Igor Sydius joined the team.

Michael Drau has been and remains the face, voice, lyricist and stage show director since Otto Dix was founded. In life outside the stage, Drau is named Mikhail Ruvimovich Sergeev. Drau took up vocals at the age of 22, when he realized that a high voice would no longer change to a more masculine one, and realized its uniqueness. The themes of the songs traditionally stir up horror for the Goths: this is fear of God ("The Heavenly Fire", "Iron Rod", "The Age of Christ"), and of the catastrophes of the future ("Atomic Winter", "City", "Shadow Zone"), and before the uprising of the machines.

The author of the texts does not refuse to philosophize on the themes of morality and BDSM ("Beloved German", "Undressed", "Slave", "Beast").

The authors are inspired by both the history of our world and creativity. The song "Expressionism", "Eternity" and "Storyteller" are dedicated to the artist Otto Dix - to Hans Christian Andersen. The image of Christ is opposed by the devil, who tempts the listener with riches ("Give me water"). Myths and literary characters are intertwined in the work of Otto Dix into a single work of art. Music and lyrics are complemented by dance and acting.

The performance of each song at a concert is a separate solo performance. Video clips tell the story of each song anew. In the clip "Eternity", the matured Kai and Gerda find themselves either in an enchanted space or on the street of a modern city. Artists and stylists work on the characters' images. According to the established tradition, video clips for Otto Dix songs are filmed with the money of fans and with their active participation.

In January 2018, Otto Dix held presentations of the new Leviathan album in St. Petersburg and Moscow in the form of concerts and autograph sessions. Photos from the events are posted on the official pages of the group on Instagram and Facebook. In April, the group will go on a concert tour across Siberia, from April 4 to 15, the musicians will meet with fans in Tyumen, Omsk, Barnaul, Kemerovo, Abakan, Novosibirsk and Krasnoyarsk.

Leviathan can be downloaded on the Internet, and Gravitator Records will release it on CD in October 2018. On March 12, the song "The Sea Is Not Overflowing", included in this album, took third place on the Russian Rock Battles rock chart, rising in a week from 39 (penultimate) place to the top three. Otto Dix is ​​currently working with fans on a video for the song "Dark Waves".
