Olga Vladimirovna Podchufarova is a rising star of Russian biathlon, a participant and winner of the Biathlon World Championship among juniors, an international master of sports.

Olga came to biathlon when she was in the 9th grade of the school. The students were sent to the competition, where they had to ski a distance of 3 kilometers. Podchufarova competed with girls who trained constantly, and came to the finish line first. After that victory, the girl herself went to the coach and asked her to take her. So she ended up at the Yunost Moskvy sports school, to the biathlon coach Yuri Lelin. He trains the athlete today.

After graduating from school, Olga Podchufarova entered the State University of Management, where she receives a specialty of a manager. Discipline and endurance help her balance study and a busy training schedule.

The biathlete's career began in 2009, and two years later Olga had already won gold and silver medals at the Summer Biathlon World Championships. The competition took place in a Czech town, Nove Mesto na Morave. The girl got gold after passing the mixed relay, and silver after the pursuit.
