Biography
Olga Georgievna Lapshina is a Russian actress, better known among theater lovers than among a wide audience. In the acting environment, she is known as a God-fearing, church-going person, which undoubtedly left an imprint on the nature of her acting. This woman has received close attention recently: after playing a dramatic role in the 2012 film "Live".
Olga was born in 1962, on May 8, in Moscow in the family of an officer. From childhood, the girl showed an interest in art: she sang, participated in school performances, and also studied at the theater studio under the direction of Yakov Klebanov.
After graduating from school, young Lapshina tried for five years in a row to enter various theatrical universities, but, alas, to no avail. In the end, she started working in the theater "On the boards", which was directed by S. Kurginyan, but abandoned the dream of becoming a professional actress. Olga graduated from the library institute and worked for some time in her specialty.

At twenty-seven, Lapshina again tried to enter GITIS, and this time she succeeded. The girl became a student of the course of Galina Volchek and Igor Kvasha, theatrical figures who stood at the origins of the Sovremennik Theater. Four years later, in 1993, the actress played her first roles in the films "Vitka Shushera and the Car" and "Shikimoku", but the films did not arouse interest among the general public.
Soon came episodic roles in the films "My First Teacher, or Bachelor Party in Russian", "Give Me Life", "December 32". In the comedy "Balzac Age, or All the Men Are Theirs ...", where the main roles went to Yulia Menshova, Alika Smekhova, Zhanna Epple, Lada Dance, the actress played a contender for the general.
Olga Lapshina got into big cinema only in 2004, starring in a minor role in the film, which became the directorial debut of Renata Litvinova: "The Goddess: How I Fell in Love" - an eccentric film that was not originally intended for the general public. The film combines a detective storyline about the investigation of the reasons for the suicide of a married couple and the myth of Orpheus. The main characters were played by the scriptwriter and director of the film herself, as well as by Maxim Sukhanov, Svetlana Svetlichnaya, Viktor Sukhorukov.
In the same year, Olga Lapshina's works in the drama Children of the Arbat, the detective story Hunters for Icons, and the adventurous melodrama Adjutants of Love, followed. After that, there were several more minor and episodic roles, until in 2012 the heavy tape "To Live" by director Vasily Sigarev, where the character of Olga Lapshina became the main character in one short story of the film, was released. For this role, the actress was nominated for "Nika", but did not receive the award, which was a blow for her.
As Olga said, she was surprised by the call from Vasily Sigarev. The director said bluntly, "I wrote the role for you." But the actress still doubted that this was possible. Only later, from third parties, Lapshina learned that Vasily really wrote the role, wanting to see only her in the film. Moreover, the director spent a long time gathering his courage before the call, because he was afraid of the actress's refusal.
The film "To Live" was highly appreciated by critics who noted both the acuteness of the topic raised and the acting talent of Olga Lapshina. After that, many directors drew attention to the actress. In the same year, the artist got into the main cast of the detective melodrama "The False Witness", where Yevgenia Loza and Alexander Ratnikov also played.
This was followed by filming in the projects "My Boyfriend - Angel", "Heiress", "Baby".
