The need to get a decent profession made Oleg enter the Institute of Communications and Informatics. Only after graduation, after working for a couple of years at a telephone exchange, he ventured to change his biography and created his first independent concert project.

In order to competently organize the work of the young musicians who joined him, Nesterov was trained in the jazz improvisation studio, which provided the necessary experience and knowledge used in creative practice over the next several decades.

Creation

In 1985, having started his creative career in the Megapolis group, Nesterov quickly gained fame as an instrumentalist, vocalist, composer and frontman. He directed the recordings of albums and wrote tracks for concerts, one of which won the Golden Gramophone award in the 90s.

Having perfected the creativity of his own team, the musician started producing other groups, and among the first to the firm he created "Snegiri-Muzyka" came Masha Makarova, Nike Borzov, Alina Orlova and the Underwood quartet. As a result, more than a hundred successful releases in various genres compiled the creative catalog of Nesterov's organization, which in 2000 spawned the Light label, which made the Knife for Frau Muller group famous.

Other discoveries of the Megapolis leader were Spring on Karl Johan Street, Igor Vdovin and Oleg Kostrov, as well as an electronic music ensemble created at the radio broadcasting studio, which came to listeners on Easy USSR and Easy USSR part II recordings.

These publications, found in the archives of state funds, prompted Nesterov to create modern collections, and in the 2000s he released several records of a similar format, including "The First Guitar in the USSR". And then within the walls of the already well-known creative company, representatives of chanson and "wild" music appeared: "The largest prime number", Karl Khlamkin, Gudzha Burduli and "Horonko-Orchestra".

Working with new performers forced the producer to compare them with the stars of the past. Nostalgic for the great musicians, he launched the TV programs "People of the Time", "On the Waves of My Memory", "Life is Like a Movie" and "Golden Vinyl".

And in 2006, a thirst for creativity pushed Oleg to become a writer and release the musical-historical novel "Skirt" about the formation of tastes in pre-war Germany, then he was nominated in the category "Writer of the Year" for alternative prose "Heavenly Stockholm".

In the 2010s, having initiated the creation of a project called "Berlin Postmen's Chapel", where German songs translated into Russian with preserved scores of past years were sounded, Nesterov began to write tracks for cinema and teach a course at the Moscow International Business School. In addition, he lectured in the management of Moscow State University at the Department of Theory of Mass Media, and also collaborated with a laboratory at the Institute of Communications of the Wordshop company.

This work was presented in the form of a double disc and its stage embodiment, where Nesterov acted as a producer and poet.
